These cops are lucky. If someone "bursts" in my door at this time of day I am wide awake, preparing to leave for work and armed. Cops would have been GD surprised.

While I agree this is the appropriate response to JBT assaults, you would have ended up dead as well as everyone else in the house. Including the dog(if applicable).
