President Bush urged Israel Tuesday to consider the consequences of its actions on the peace process. Standing next to Bush, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said he wanted to move ahead but defended Israel's building of a security fence and insisted anew that all terrorism by Palestinians must stop.

I wonder if this is erroneous information. I haven't seen this posted anywhere else.

The more I think about it, GWB is making a very big deal out of this fence thing. In most parts of the US, there are numerous gated communities which keep out the "bad" guys or at least let them control access to their precious property. So, in Israel with serious life and death issues, as to the very bad guys (and gals) who only want to gain access to the settlements to cause murder and mayhem, this is a "problem" in GWB's mind.

Lets just hope this is another example of GWB giving tacit approval (wink, wink, Ari) to the Israeli's plans and only giving lip service to the Pali's.

Otherwise, much of Boca Raton, Southern California and the rest of the U.S. should put armed guards at their gates. (Oops, most already have armed guards at the gates).

That rumor has been debunked. Israel did release a prisoner named Mohammad Atta, but it was a different Mohammad Atta than the one involved in the 9/11 attacks.

Being against the fence is a totally irrational response

It’s a matter of policy. Israel is building a fence like this

US policy calls for fences like this

which does lead to things like this

but I’m sure you can understand the policy difference.

What do you know. Another American President hissing at the Jews, in the best American Presidential tradition.

President Bush,

How about instead of whining about the Israeli fence, you build US one on the border with Mexico?

Since we never signed the silly landmine treaty, we could reinforce it with those. In the interest of multiculturalism, you can even post warning signs in Spanish, Portugese, and even Arabic for good measure.

What is it that you think the palestinians want?

Here's what the Palestinians want: a completely ethnically-cleansed Jew-free "Palestinian state" and a "right of return" for millions into what's left of Israel so that they can push the rest of the Jews into the sea.

That's for starters. Afterwards, they'd want Western foreign aid to help them live better in the disaster they'd create in the former Israel.

Shake this, President Bush:

You're right, but I'm reserving judgement for six months or so.
