At least "old dogs" live out their lives in comfort here, unlike France, where the old are left to die in apartment-ovens by their sunbathing, careless children.

Good actor? Well I guess I missed that movie.Obviously all a matter of opinion, but I thought his work in Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape was quite good. That said, I still think he's a pompous jerk

bump for the
high french taxes he will be paying
To: ConservativeStandUP
I've detected a sort of financial netherworld that the Hollywood crowd may have developed in order to avoid all taxation. Remember Don Johnson being caught with billions in some sort of securities in the trunk of his Mercedes while crossing some border in the Alps?
Money is thicker than unfiltered cigarettes and sipping good espresso.
My gut feeling is that there is a way around EU taxation which has not yet been diclosed. Look at Clinton and Ireland? Hillary's recent trip? That DNC bagman caught at Hethrow with a few hundred grand in cash on his way to JFK, who was btw given unimpeded right to continue on to JFK? Marc Rich may have set the whole thing up, explaining the pardon.

I Hope Benedict Depp stays in France for the rest of his life. Also, I think more liberals should follow his advice.

Agreed, Depp is a very good actor, far better than most of the Ben Affleck types who show no range. Depp picks interesting roles and quirky characters.
Also agreed he is a foolish pothead.

Yikes, he looks like he just stepped out of Salvation Army! The boy can't even dress himself...

Hollywood star Johnny Depp said on Wednesday the United States was a stupid, aggressive puppy and he would not live there until the political climate changed.Star? Who's Johnny Depp and why should we care?

While some take international money laundering seriously, I however do not. Think about who handles your money, not manages but touches it. There are some pretty filthy buggers out there, sweating upon and manhndlng 50 dollars bills from Dusseldorf to Tasmania and all points in between.
Truly a more ghastly bunch was never spotted, or if they were, they hid quickly and avoided detection.
Like my old grandfather used to say, wash that C Note 'fore you put it in yer fist.
Were more truthful words ever spoken. I think not, especially by him, he was crafty.

Affleck is a good smart-ass writer. Dogma is a good example.
He reminds me of a guy who couldn't get laid as a teen and became quite bitter about it. All that bitter energy was placed into writing smart-ass scripts. Being a smart-ass at 25 is OK. It just becomes self limiting. And now that he's getting laid he's got no creative juices.
I'm glad to see Matt Damon distance himself from Affleck.

IIRC, he said that when his kids started using illegal dope, he would make sure they didn't get "bad" dope by buying it for them. I know his kids love their daddy, but the poor babies are facing a hard battle.

Another one.

Affleck is a good smart-ass writer. Dogma is a good example.Dogma was written and directed by Kevin Smith. Affleck just starred in it. Affleck did co-write Good Will Hunting, which was good smart-ass writing.

Hmm....I wonder if he really learned how to cut hair when he played in Edward Scissorhands. Maybe he could fall back on that as a career.

I agree. But I wonder if he'll also become disillusioned with France. France is really pleasant when all you do is eat in Paris restaurants and never talk to any citizens. The NYT's ran an article several months ago about John Malkevich's adventures in moving to France (apparently for different reasons than Mr. Depp). Malkevich has been harrassed by the French tax collectors and bureaucrats in Paris (he owns a large house in the country). He is now planning on moving out. He's only been there several years.

...wish he could have kept his mouth shut until I had a chance to see 'Pirates of the Carribean'...
Wait until it comes out on TV. I boycott all of these leftists and if we all did, they'd be out of business.

Having been in the Charter flight business for years, I can tell you with 100% accuracy that there is an entire different set of rules being applied to you when you drive a Falcon 50. The folks I'm talking about do not keep records and they will handle the funds in turn.
When I see low-fame Hollywood actors getting off their Hawker, with an entorage of guys carrying automatic weapons under their jackets and refusing to even talk to customs, I know we've got a problem. I saw Clinton once get called out of Airforce One and with no escort, have to go to the plane belonging to a Coca Cola Bottling owner out on a taxiway, just after the Coca Cola G-2 came back from South Africa. Now since when can the owner of a company put the president at risk like that? I saw the same G-2 then park, tell customs to shove off while they unloaded poached big game carcasses out the back of the plane(the most aft baggage hold)
These people operate with complete impunity to any law.
