It’s been amusing to see Democrats realizing that their lawfare strategy against Trump hasn’t been working. First, the indictments only boosted Trump’s position in GOP primary polling, and then the New York trial didn’t even hurt him. Various polls since last week's verdict have shown little to no shift towards Joe Biden, and some even suggest a boost for Donald Trump. So far, there’s little reason to believe that the verdict will be a watershed event that will help Biden retake the lead in the election. And Biden just got some more devastating news. A new poll of Virginia shows...

This announcement out of Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin's office yesterday is pretty cool news. In 2021, under the benevolent eye of uber-prog Democratic black-face aficionado Gov Ralph Northam, the completely Democratic-held VA legislature decided to commit the state to follow the California emission standards, which, as everyone knows, are tougher than the federal ones. Progs of a feather flock together. In 2022, doubling down on their infinite wisdom, VA lawmakers saw fit to impose what's known as CA's Advanced Clean Car II regulations on their fellow Virginians. In essence, what that was going to do was impose a 100% EV...

Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz endorsed fellow Republican Rep. Bob Good in his reelection bid in Virginia late Tuesday night, putting him at odds with former President Donald Trump, over his endorsement of Good's challenger John McGuire. Trump endorsed McGuire last week, after criticizing Good who Trump said had supported him "too late." Good originally backed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the Republican nomination for president. Gaetz told his followers on X to "vote for Bob Good," as part of a repost of another "MAGA Republican" who called for support of Good over McGuire. "I speak for all of MAGA...

flew into Wilmington, Del., on Sunday night, where his 54-year-old son’s felony gun trial begins Monday, and will spend the whole day there with no official duties. Joe Biden’s looming presence in the strange small city leaves nobody in any doubt of the message he is sending to Delaware special counsel David Weiss, the prosecutors, the judge, and the jury pool being chosen Monday: You mess with my son, you mess with me. It’s all very subtle, in a flagrant way, much like Joe’s impromptu visit to Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau and former lover of Hunter, just nine...

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Thursday that one of two Jordanian nationals who tried to sneak onto a Marine Corps base in Virginia this month had entered the U.S. illegally across the southern border in April. ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) confirmed in a statement to Fox5DC that the Jordanian national, referred to as “noncitizen 2” had entered the U.S. illegally less than a month prior: On April 8, 2024, the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) arrested Jordanian noncitizen 2 near San Ysidro, California, following his unlawful entry into the United States. On April 9, 2024, the USBP...

Did terrorists just scout out a US Marine base? Amazingly, Americans have no idea one way or the other — despite a troubling incident this month suggesting that’s exactly what happened. In fact, it took nearly two weeks for top brass at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia just to alert its own rank-and-file about an attempt by two Jordanians to drive their box truck onto the base before being blocked by guards. That’s outrageous enough, yet the story still remains far from clear. Indeed, a mountain of questions need answers.

Dozens of graduating students walked out of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) on Saturday after Gov. Glenn Youngkin took the stage to deliver a commencement address. Video of the Saturday morning incident shows throngs of graduates getting up from their seats and leaving the Greater Richmond Convention Center as the Republican governor began talking. A few could be heard cheering the students on. The governor, who also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters at the commencement ceremony, kicked off his speech with a shout-out to all the mothers ahead of Mother’s Day. He did not acknowledge those leaving and carried...

After nearly 40 years, police say they have solved two cold-case murders of Virginia women using genetic genealogy. On Tuesday morning, cops arrested Elroy Harrison, 65, in connection with the 1986 slaying of Jacqueline Lard, 32, who was working at a real-estate office when she was beaten and left dead under a pile of carpet in the woods. Authorities say they also expect to charge Harrison in the death of Amy Baker, 18, who was fatally strangled and dumped in the woods after her car broke down in 1989. Forensic evidence links the two cases, police said. ...

WOODSTOCK, Va. — A Virginia school board voted Friday to restore the names of Confederate military leaders to a high school and an elementary school, four years after the names had been removed. Shenandoah County’s school board voted 5-1 to rename Mountain View High School as Stonewall Jackson High School, and Honey Run Elementary as Ashby Lee Elementary. Friday’s vote reverses a decision by the school board in 2020, a time when school systems across the South were removing Confederate names from schools in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A driver is dead after attempting to enter Joint Expeditionary Base-Little Creek early Sunday morning. According to officials, at 3:40 a.m. on April 28, a vehicle was seen attempting to enter the base through Gate 5 at a high rate of speed. Security Personnel activated the hydraulic access control system (HACS) in an attempt to stop the vehicle after observing the driver not stopping for security. This caused the vehicle to crash into the HACS barrier and catch fire. Crews with the installation fire department worked to extinguish the fire, and the Naval Criminal Investigative...

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A driver fatally crashed into the hydraulic barricade at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story on Sunday, according to a public affairs officer (PAO.) The PAO said that at around 3:40 a.m. a vehicle ran through the gate without stopping for a security check. Security personnel activated the hydraulic access control system, which puts up a barrier to stop cars from entering. The PAO said this is the procedure in the event of a vehicle not stopping for a security check

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) daughter criticized Democrat judges for giving out harsh sentences to January 6 defendants. Alexandra Pelosi was caught slamming the “liberal” judges who are “out for blood” as they hand out lengthy prison sentences while other J6 protestors get hit with just a fine or probation. “I think I learned in kindergarten that justice is supposed to be fair. A judge is supposed to be the same, and they’re not supposed to be political,” Alexandra said. “And now it’s like one judge you get really makes a difference because some judges are giving probation and...

In a stunning interview Sunday morning on CNN, Rep. Tony Gonzales, a Republican congressman from Texas, accused fellow Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of having sex with underaged girls. "It's my absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve with some real scumbags," he said. "Look, Matt Gaetz, he paid minors to have sex with him at drug parties." This comes just a few weeks after former Speaker Kevin McCarthy said something similar at an event at Georgetown Univeristy. "I'll give you the truth why I'm not speaker," McCarthy said. "It's because one person, a member of Congress, wanted me...

Representative Tony Gonzales (R-TX) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that his Republican colleagues Reps Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Bob Good (R-VA) were “real scumbags.” Host Dana Bash said, “So, you voted yes on the foreign aid package,” Bash addressed Gonzales. “Do you have confidence that at this point, given that it is still possible that Marjorie Taylor Greene will push to vacate, to kick out of the Speaker’s chair, that he can survive?”

If your kitty has claws, you soon won’t be able to have them removed in the Commonwealth. Gov. Glenn Youngkin has signed a bill outlawing the declawing of cats by veterinarians, effective July 1. This is not applicable to nail filing, nail trimming or the placement of temporary nail caps on your cat’s claws. Civil penalties include $500 for the first violation, $1,000 for the second violation and $2,500 for the third or any subsequent violation.
