I agree. The LDS Church does not exclude the possibility of other gods, but for us we know there is but one God, the Father, and that we are to worship no other gods.

IF there are other gods, it does not concern us. That knowledge and faith will not save any man, as all men must come to the Father through the Son.

Note the the failure to exclude the possibility of other gods does not alter our first article of faith - that we believe in God the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. That is it.

And I don’t think that the Catholic Church would support it one bit. It has far more class than the bigots of the religious right.

Number 14...

How Mormon's deal with data presented to them by those they call ANTI's:

  1. How you interpret it is wrong...
  2. You are too ignorant to really understand it because you are not a member....
  3. You're not qualified to judge because you're no LONGER a member...
  4. You are just a bigot for bringing the whole ugly truth to light ...
  5. So’s yer Mama!
  6. Laugh it all off and post some silly image.
  7. Jump down the rabbit hole; Alice!
  8. Bait & Switch
  9. The OTHER 'half' of the truth is what we are avoiding.
10. "I Know It When I See It"
11. Hand waving...
12. YOU play defense for a while.
13. HEE Hee hee... let's get the Calvinists and the Armenians fighting!
14. GREAT FUN! Let's get the Catholics and the Protestants fighting!
15. Huh? Did you say something?
16. If I repeat this enough times some folks will be fooled into thinking it's true.

Who are you to judge another person’s faith?

Is this what Christ commanded when he said, “Judge not that ye be not judged?” Or how about casting out the beam first?

I believe that their rejection of Romney, and embrace of Huckabee have bought us eight years of socialist Hell on earth.

That's a POWERFUL belief!

Cite another definition. It is clear the the term Christianity includes all who claim the teachings of Jesus Christ as their own. The LDS Church not only does that, but calls itself the very Church of Jesus Christ because it is the churc of no man, but was organized personally by Jesus Christ.

It is not the chuch of Roman Catholics, the church of Martin Luther or of any man.

Who are you to judge Latter-day Saints that their belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is not genuine?

How Christian is your judgment of your brothers and sisters? Where did Christ ever condemn the faith of those who claimed to believe in Him and who sought to do Christ’s will?

Would you vote for a committed Scientologist for president?

Scientology is a newer religion than Mormonism...

Second, the LDS Church teaches that the Godhead is one and we worship God the Father.

Who has a BODY; just like Jesus.

"Three separate personages--the Father, Son and Holy Ghost--comprise the Godhead...To us, speaking in the proper finite sense, these three are the only gods we worship." (Mormon Doctrine, pp. 567-577, 1966 edition)

Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Haven't we TOLD you about using FACTS to try to give your scandalous remarks a touch of veracity?

You KNOW that these words are NOT found in ANY of our Scripture!

--MormonDude(They may in the future; for we are ALWAYS ready for new words from GOD.)

Who are you to judge another person’s faith? ... Is this what Christ commanded when he said, “Judge not that ye be not judged?” Or how about casting out the beam first?

Christ specifically and repeatedly commanded his followers to judge a person's religious faith.

The verses you cite, Matthew 7:1-5, do not prohibit all types of judging. In fact, carrying on with scripture where you left off:

Matt. 7:15 Be careful of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise with careful discernment.

John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

Censorious, hypocritical, self-righteous, or other forms of unfair judgments are indeed forbidden by the text you cited in your response, but in order to fulfill the commandments that follow, it is necessary dogs and swine (v. 6) from one's own brothers (vv. 3-5).

I looked into this some while commuting, and found this entry at Wiki:

>Though not mentioned in canonical LDS scripture, some Latter Day Saints infer the possible existence of other gods and goddesses. However, they aren’t known, acknowledged, and have no relevance to this Earth or humanity

So LDS scripture (which includes the Bible) does clearly state that there are more than the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (with all subject to the Father). But one could infer such.

Note that the Catholic church is also noted as possibly falling into the definition. I also read that Islam criticizes Christianity for claiming that the Father has a Son as it is clear evidence of two gods and thus polytheistic.

You might recall that I noted this issue in pointing out the cause of the creation of the trinity theory hundreds of years after revelation had been “closed” and restricted to the accepted writ in the Bible.

Is this what Christ commanded when he said, “Judge not that ye be not judged?”

I always find it interesting that those who do not want their practices and policies examined tend to trot out those few verses; hoping to stifle any more questions.

Sorry folks, but there is MORE to be said in the matter of 'judging'.

Luke 7:43
Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled."   "You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13
 12.  What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
 13.  God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

1 Corinthians 6:2-5
 2.  Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?
 3.  Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!
 4.  Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church!
 5.  I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?

Can you show me an example of where Christ tore down the faith of a person who was not from his own faith?

Oops. That should have read that LDS scripture does NOT specifically claim that there are gods other than the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost (who are one with the Father over all).
