Thus, the Lord's Supper is a memorial; a sign and seal of the salvation Christ won for us on the cross.

No it isn't, and neither are the rest of the dogpile of Protestant conjectures and postulates, correct.

The Church Christ founded teaches us to follow exactly what Jesus did at the last supper: "Do this in memmory of Me." What is "this?" Pronounce the bread and wine the body and blood of our Savior. Not some convoluted pack of Clintonian rationalizations designend to deny the Scriptures just as surely as Satan did in the temptation of our Lord.

“They were written by Jews, obviously. But they were included in the Canon—made into the Old Testametn—by Catholics.”

Wrong again.

Ah, we have Bibliolatry; the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible

THERE WE HAVE IT! Finally! A definition of what the RCs decry as "Bibliolatry."

"Bibliolatry equals believing the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible!"

No wonder Rome is in such tatters, embroiled in sexual and financial scandals while losing members left and right.

Rome does not believe the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible. (I've got to bookmark this post for the next time some RC apologist denies they ever said this.)

You need to choose your words more carefully. “Your tradition” could be singular or plural, but since it is not his tradition alone, it must be plural.

You need to read more carefully Mr. busybody. "Are you frosted" wasn't directed to you.

What did you screw up this time?

If “are you frosted” were all you posted, your post were dispositive. It was not and thus it is not.

***YOU didn’t give me anything, God through the Holy Spirit gave us the Scriptures. God used men of faith to write them, and sort out the false from the true.***

The men of the Catholic Church who brought Scripture to the world including the ungrateful and the unappreciative.

***Typical attack. Can’t argue with the facts so the personal insults appear.***

You haven’t presented any. The Catholic Church gave you the Bible and the interpretation of it. You claimed that you didn’t receive any gifts from us. If you haven’t received the Bible, then what have you received?

I’m not interested in the “teachings of the Church”, I’m interested in the teachings of Christ, in His words and the explanations of Peter, John, Paul, Luke etc.

Amen!

Let me stand with you on that!

I asked you here that if you don't consider Benedict XVI to be the antiChrist, how do you reconcile it with the WCF?

Show me where I wrote "I don't consider him to be the antiChrist?"

You'll have a long time looking for that post.

I answered the same way three times now. Here it is again...

Ratzinger does nothing to contradict the WCF's view of him.

"Bibliolatry equals believing the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible!"

He did not say that. You have yet again grossly distorted a (pointedly partial) quotation.

Your reputation for veracity is Titanic.

As far as I'm concerned its settled. I will now take leave of you so that you can go practice the love of Christ on someone else. lol.

Out there, they may think that being red-green color-blins id a handicap (which, all kidding aside, it is - a minor one, but don't drop a pair of pliers with red handles in the grass and ask me to find 'em) But in MY life, an orange truck approaches in my rear-view mirror and pulls out to pass me, and a split second later a green truck passes.

Some people need to take drugs to have stuff like that happen. For me it's free. And think of the great witness I'd be in court: "
Q: What color was the get away car?
A: I'd go with either British Racing Green or Maroon -- one of those anyway ....

So I have no clue what color your post was. Some reds I can see, others I can't. I can't even figure out how to compensate.

If you accept Machen and are OPC, you accept the WCF, including its conclusion that the pope is the antichrist.

[ Martin Luther et al walked away from it during the Reformation. How can you dudes claim that you are part of the Church when you voted with your feet (or your ancestors did and you never came back) and turned your backs on the Church? ]

Luther left the RCC, true, others were never a prisoner in it.. The RCC didn’t assume non local power until about 313AD.. Until then most localities had local governments..

But it is true that, RCC histories have been re-written with spin to suggest (almost)constant primacy of Rome.. which of course is jaded or even a lie.. lets assume jaded..

Millers Church History....

You have misstated my questioning of whether you consider Benedict XVI the antiChrist and how you reconcile that with the WCF

lol. How have I misstated it?

I've said the same thing FIVE TIMES NOW.

Again, all you guys are capable of doing is overlapping the discussion with mindless repetitions of questions that have already been asked and answered.

Did the Jesuits teach you that?

Speaking as a Presbyterian (more of a free-agent Protestant), I find the idea of sola scriptura a bit lacking. First, it was the Catholic Church and only the Catholic Church that closed the scriptures in the first place.

Those Catholics who "closed the scriptures" were the same ones who identified what was considered "inspired" and "uninspired" writings. In short, they believed in sola scriptura from the same perspectives as the Protestants; every word of scripture was inspired, man's writings are flawed.

What is really being argued by the non-sola scriptura folks is that other writings can be just as inspired as scripture. This is the very reason we have the Bible by the early church fathers. They knew this would happen.

Careful. Some posters follow other posters around the forum from thread to thread.

And I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
