Overall, these shifting Catholic attitude trends, less support for the use of U.S. military force, more support for higher taxes for wealthy Americans, and increasing acceptance of immigration, may favor the Democrats and Obama, said Mark Gray, the director of CARA Catholic polls.”

Not surprising. The religion of LIFE supporting an agent of DEATH, even partial-birth abortion.
Totally disgusting that one who supports free-for-all sex and abortion on demand even during labor, should be supported by such a large group of Catholics in America is truly a sad slide into apostacy.

More Catholics leaning towards Democrats, poll reports?
Not this Catholic.
To: NYer
However, Catholics who attend Mass weekly are still more likely to be Democrats, with 37 percent self-identifying with the party and another 18 percent saying they lean Democrat.
That ANY church-going Catholic could support the party of abortion on demand and homosexual marriage is an absolute disgrace.
I can understand Catholics not being enamored with the GOP. But for so many to be actively identifying themselves as Democrats is a scandal.

Catholics need to support the Right to Life for all as put forth in the Constitution of the United States.
Therefore --- any Catholic who might vote dimocrat is a Catholic in Name Only (CINO).
For their information -- Obama supports partial birth abortion. No Catholic can, in right conscience, vote for Obama.
I am borrowing a graphic from Antonius. Thanks.

This should not be so surprising. The migration of Catholics to the GOP was more due more to their anti-communist world views rather than abortion. China and Russia war threats are no longer Washington concerns. Choice is now included with the GOP’s open tent.
The Reagan Democrats who jumped to Perot are are hearing the job sucking sound and feeling the pressure of inflation. They are now more tuned into family economic issues, including jobs, health care and education costs. On social issues, helping the poor recruits more people at Church than abortion clinic protests.

1) Define Catholic (practicing v. cultural)
2) Define Catholic (registered voter v. likely voter v. are they even registered at all)
