Because of what we have learnt we have had to make some difficult decisions and cut ourselves off from fellowship with people we have come to be very fond of.
Jesus tells us many times not to be deceived. (Mat 24:4-5, 11. Eph 5:6-11. 2 Thess 2:13)
He said, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. Mat 24:4-5
Who do you think are the deceived? Jesus tells us that many will be deceived. Who are the many?
NOTE also in the above verse that the deceivers are not denying Jesus, they are saying that Jesus is Christ.
Jesus also said, Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord,Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophecied in thy name? and in thy name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mat 7:21-23
Who do you think Jesus is talking about here?
Think about it!
He is not talking about unbelievers He is talking about church folk, Christians who practise prophecy, cast out demons and do miracles in Jesus name.
What group of Christians do these things and teach these things? It cant be high church or denominations that believe the gifts of the Spirit have ceased because they dont prophecy or cast out demons etc.
I believe the Lord has shown me it is those individuals who are involved/engaged in what is called the Charasmatic Renewal Movement, eg Toronto, Brownsville, Vineyard, Alpha course, New Wine, Clan etc and I speak from experience because I was involved in this stuff myself till the Lord told me to come out of her.
Why does Jesus say to these well intentioned people, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity?
I believe it is because they have allowed themselves to be deceived, to follow deceiving spirits, to unwittingly follow Satan who dont forget appears as an angel of light.
The APOSTATE church is here NOW! Just take a look at the Christian TV channels. The vast majority are riddled with compromise, false teaching and doctrines of demons and millions have fallen for it.
REVIVAL
Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come except there come a falling away. 2 Thess 2:3
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Mat 24:11
Contrary to popular belief, the Bible does NOT teach that there will be a massive END TIMES REVIVAL!
Rather Jesus said, When the Son of Man cometh , shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8
He also said, wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Mat 7:13-14
There has been a falling away, the love of many has waxed cold, millions have been and are being deceived.
For discussion:
I wouldn't. If he subverts, or suborns the Constitution against *ANYONE*, including those to whom I am in total opposition, he will have, at that moment, lost any legitimacy I believed he might have had. End of story.
He either obeys and executes the law, as it is written, for ALL Americans, or he's toast in my book...

Anyone who is not for Christ, is against/opposed/replaces - anti - Christ.
The people who hate Christ are antichrist.
The people who are atheists are antichrist.
The people who believe in personal ‘christ-consciousness’ are antichrist.
The people who say that they are christ, are antichrist.
The people who say that there is more than one way to salvation, without christ, are antichrist.
It is all antichrist, just manifesting itself in different ways of deception. Do not make the mistake of assuming that everyone will be deceived by just one certain way. Christ does not say that everyone will be deceived in the exact same way.
There may very well be a ‘great deception’ that occurs by The Antichrist, one person who receives Satan’s power and can perform amazing signs and wonders and ‘false miracles’ and such and that may deceive many, but realize that before he is on the scene, there are and will be many others who are antichrists and will deceive many by whatever they are pushing on people.
IF you know what the deception is then you would know who the many are.
Well, then, are you saying that by your experiences there are no real bodies of christians gathering together and having fellowship with each other and God?
If you are a christian, you know that the bible says part of your responsibility as a christian is to find a church that teaches the Word of God faithfully and to gather with other christians for worship and fellowship. Are you saying you’re giving up on this because you only ‘feel’ god in your house?
The greatest deception will be Satan attempting to pull off passing the antichrist as Christ.
The people who believe this are those that will be deceived. They do not realize that Christ will return the same way He left. Any other ‘christ’ that comes back will not be coming back the same way He left, but the false miracles and such will convince those who do not understand.
And personally I think technology will play a great part in the false miracles.
Who tempted Christ it was not a flesh being, and we who are left on this earth are going to get a dose of that temptation... that 'one' shows up first for the purpose of collection of the lies and deception planted long before.
Of course it also says in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” This is why so many are deceived since the devil can come across as attractive, engaging and persuasive.
I wouldn’t say he is the antichrist more like the one that prepares the way. Much like John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus.
Well yes, Satan is a spirit being, but we do know he did have the ability to manifest himself physically, as have other angels (Lot, Jacob wrestling with the angel). At least to the point where they could be seen.
But this time, Satan is performing his counterfeit miracle. Just as God the Son came in the flesh out of a divine miracle, so Satan will give his power over to ‘his son’ the Antichrist. Satan’s power will manifest itself in one physical person. And it appears that this Antichrist will also have a fake ‘resurrection’ as opposed to Christ’s real miraculous resurrection.
I’m saying be careful from whom you take counsel.
For years, people have come down on those of us who aren’t part of mainstream denominations. Could it really be that those who are against the gifts of the spirit are closer to being deceived than those moving in those gifts?
This blogger was basically saying I needed to get out of the Charismatic movement. The blogger’s argument is the same one I’ve heard for years from all those involved in what I call dead churches. Sure many are saved, I don’t doubt that. But what I will argue is that they aren’t moving in the fullness and somehow wish the same upon others. If you’re content with that, then so be it, but don’t try to confuse others who don’t believe as you do.
“Who are the ‘many’?”
Everyone but the author and those who agree with him 100%, I’ll bet.
As long as the doctrine is sound, there is no hard and fast rules for the style of worship, as long as it is respectful to God. If your church teaches sound doctrine and has a service respectful of Almighty God, then I have no problem with it.
Not everyone is attracted to the same worship styles. What you may have been thinking were ‘dead’ churches may have been very much alive, but were not appealing to you or the way you felt you needed to worship. I don’t doubt there are dead churches out there, but don’t confuse differences in the way one denomination worships with being spiritually dead.
There are people that do not like traditional worship practices, the traditional hymns, hard and heavy preaching. Conversely there are those that do not like contemporary music, or christian rock, prosperity theology, or people getting up during service saying things while the pastor is talking. Within the christian community we have freedom to worship the way we see fit, provided it is God-honoring and God-focused. We all probably have different comfort levels and dividing lines between what constitutes that, but you try to find a place where you believe what they are teaching, preaching and doing appear to be biblically sound.
It just sounded like you had taken yourself out of the church and holed up in your house.
thanks for the link. Great message!
LOL no. I was just one of those who have been involved in a few of the named "Charismatic Movements" the author spoke of (Vineyard - 1st hand, Toronto and Brownsville - 2nd hand...my sister attended both on several occasions and I experienced some of what came from Toronto when I visited her church, which had sent a delegation there).
You are exactly right. When I was first saved and just
learning what love for G-d was all about, the first thing
that the Holy Spirit gave me was chose life and all that
is good and affirms that. No one who calls themselves
Christian can believe otherwise and be true.
same minds,,etc.
Nicolai Carpathia! Left Behind AntiChrist
I believe in a pre-wrath rapture. We will be here for most of the tribulation.
The pretribulation is mainly believed in the US. Other countries realize that Christians will persecuted before, as you said, they are already being persecuted.
No Satan is not going to produce a flesh imitation 'savior' he is going to get tossed down here upon earth pretending to be the real thing. That is the deception that the majority are not looking for a supernatural entity showing up appearing to be Jesus... Anti-Christ as is used means instead of Christ not a flesh being.
