The Lord gives us free will so each of us can find where we will be able to reside that is suited to our temperment.
So you are a Mormon because your free will was exercised and it suits your temperment?

Whether or not it was a false religion founded by a false prophet doesn’t matter as long as YOU feel good about it, huh?

***

Now that is funny

I feel that those fo you who are comfortable in the mainstream and there is no desire to continue to learn the ways of the Lord are the ones who continue to choose to living the lesser law.

You said: There are plenty of X Mormons who meet in a Church in heart of down town Salt Lake City every week

If you cannot give site a 1. group of x mormons 2. who meet in a church 3. in the heart of down town Salt Lake. Then I will assume you are misrepresenting the thousands of Christians who meet in many different Church congregations throughout the Salt Lake Valley who are ex-mormons.

Do you have a link? or the name of the group? or where they meet perhaps? ...

Because the Baptists held a convention doesnt' fit - nor a group of Christians who distributed a DVD to homeowners a couple of years ago, many of the members were from out of Utah, and most were not, nor had ever been Mormons. Nope that doesn't fit either. Protestors? Most of those are not ex-mormons, most of those protestors are not organized in anyway - and definitely do not represent any group of ex-mormons.

So you are saying that the harassment of people who have left lds is ok, because God gives us freewill?

Sure there are xldsers that meet in Salt Lake City, its called meeting in churches that preach the Word of God not some made up stuff found in a top hat.

***

Where did I say or imply that svcw?

I have pointed out where xers have followed the LDS events and camp during those events to harassment the LDS.

LDS do not as a whole organized to bash other faith free agency means you are free to worship as you please.

You are always twisting my statements which really are no where what you claim them to be that is a bad habit svcw!

Wow. I do not know a single Christian that does not continue their studies to know God more.

You however are appearing to say, that once a person becomes a Bible Believing Born Again Christian they stop their desire to know more of God.

One of two things: you maybe a liar or you maybe delusional. It is difficult to say which at this point as sometimes it is even difficult to understand what you have written.

I asked why are these people afraid and you replied because God gave us free will.

Tell me what prey tell was I supposed to think you meant.

Interesting - Here is the same article, posted by the same news outlet with a totally different headline - this headline is Much less inflammatory!

Amen and Amen! I claim as my life verse:

“Being confident of this very thing, He that begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

Well you can play this game it was all in the papers and even posted on FR by many of your co hearts.

So your reply seems disingenuous.

Some love to recite Pres Hinckley reply to the Baptist convention in SLC around the time of the Olympic and April General conference

The Huckabee’s statement at the other was a slur toward Romney being Mormon.

It is has been posted on FR of temple opening being harassed by anti even in NYC when the Manhattan Temple open those folks who were at the SLC visitor center showed up in Manhattan I personally saw them.

“Well to me IMHO the only way to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again is to believe and receive a witness from the Spirit of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

It appears that JESUS said, “23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words”

If you don’t start with the WORDS, the Holy Spirit can’t teach you the way of salvation. If you deny the words, as
mormonism does, you open yourself to the witness of demons -
as young Joseph Smith did while hunting for buried treasure.

Resty - you are confused. All those Mormon apologetic sites you posted are listing non-Mormon organizations. Ex-Mormon does not equal anti-mormon.

NON of those groups are ex-mormon or even predominantly ex-mormon. You’re wrong. Why can’t you admit it?

"They don't teach that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven."

An evangelical christian that disagrees with the beliefs of others? I've never heard of such a thing! < /s > I guess Christy never read Mosiah 16:13:

And now, ought ye not to tremble and repent of your sins, and remember that only in and through Christ ye can be saved?

No matter what they say, JW’s are haunted by other JW’s when they leave their religion. They shun even their parents who are not JW’s when they join. Sometimes they encourage their members to divorce their spouses if they don’t join. Brrrr.

Sure they are mixed. Some ex-Mormons with some never Mormons. All from different church congregations, different cities, different Christian denominations. That was exactly MY point resty.

- There is no group of ex-mormons who meet weekly in Salt Lake City as I pointed out. You made the misrepresentation that there was.

Sometimes I think you are confusing on purpose.

**** but she’s also firm in her belief that Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses follow false doctrine.

“I didn’t like how they looked at the Bible differently,” Darlington said. “They don’t teach that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.”****

Many years ago I talked with a Curch of Christ preacher who told me this..

Back when schools had preachers come in to talk to a class he was challenged by a young JW kid about a bible verse. The kid was well read in his bible.

They both pulled out the “Green Phantom” (NW translation) and went to the verse. The preacher had an older version and the kid had a newer version. The kid’s new version had retranslated the verse completely different.

The preacher could not remember which verse it was when he told me the story, it had been years before.

A friend of mine thought about converting to JW. He took the classes and was well prepared.

Then he decided to read the a bible story about the Lazrus and the rich man. When he reached the verse “Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments.”

He became so frightened he shook all night realizing he had been told a falsehood by the JWs and HELL is where he was going. He then went to a Billy Graham meeting that weekend and was one of the first to RUN down at the Alter call.
