While I think that the teachings of Joseph Smith are, frankly, nutty, I also think there are a lot of real Christians in the LDS despite its heretical doctrine. “By their fruits shall ye know them” and all that. I always make sure to take up for the many good Mormons on FR (not Mormonism, mind you — individual Mormons) because we’re on the same team with regard to the culture wars. Catholics and` Mormons working together have defeated “gay marriage” in 31 straight elections — that’s not something to be ignored on the basis of theological differences.

Yeah, y'all got it pretty rough on here, try being an ex-Catholic and watch what happens. It drives the Catholics nuts on here everytime they learn one has wised up and 'left the flock.'
