I did get the allergy shots for years and they helped TREMENDOUSLY.

And the better those allergies got, the worse the food reactions got.

In some respects, that kind of rules out cross reactions.

The problem isn’t that my stomach bothers me so much as that I break out badly and feel generally all over sick when I eat anything else. Virtually all plant matter is out.

I’m taking some Quercetin which has a small amount of burdock in it.

I have to give up the oats? <:(

That’s essentially what I’m on now. Chicken and oats.

I tolerate the oats very well.

There are two factors that I think account for that.

One is that anyone with bad enough allergies generally died from them.

The other is that early, continual exposure to dirt and germs, strengthens the disease fighting arm of the immune system so that it works properly instead of over reacting in the allergic way.

In those days, people lived with dirt, didn’t shower every day, drank well water, raw milk, mucked the stalls, etc.

Their immune systems got a workout and worked properly.

Hi! You might be right about the serious allergies but the point of the book was that they really did not exist. They were very, very rare. However, the germ, dirt issue is right on. There was a good book that came out a couple of years back about polio and what they found was that polio was the disease of the wealthy, generally speaking, and that it did not affect the poor. Of course, this flies in the face of what I saw on 60 Minutes last night about polio in India.

Thank you for the update. Please do not worry about acknowledging the prayers of us Prayer Warriors. We know that God’s blessings are upon us.

Prayers up for your healing. Prayers said for your lost items. I have asked St. Anthony for assistance for the misplaced items, as well.

Continuing in prayer for metmom, for her health condition and her concern over lost items.

In the Name Above All Names, Jesus Christ, we pray for clarity and solutions.

Amen!

I’ve been thinking of you and wondering how you’ve been doing. Praying for safe travel, the doctor who will treat you, and your full recovery.

When I was a child, we were taught to pray to St. Anthony to find something that’s lost. Somehow, it always seemed to work.

Thanks.

I found the check!! YEA!

I was sure I packed it in with a box I sent lil mm #3 so I looked through the stuff I had out that day, other envelopes, and I found it in one. I have no clue how it got there other than I laid the check down and it got bumped and slid in when I was packaging up the stuff and I never noticed.

That’s really bizarre, because I am so very careful with money. That is so not like me to do something like that.

Anyway, one down. Thanks for praying all.

May Heavenly Father bless you with safety, and may you soon find a way to manage this disorder so that you can be comfortable. ( In Jesus name, I pray.)

metmom, quercetin has anti-inflammatory properties.
If it has a small amount of burdock, that’s good, but
you probably need a significant amount - even better
would be care under a naturopath.

I’m going to take it slow.

I want to see how I tolerate the Quercetin for a while before adding anything new.

Thank you for the update netmom. It sounds like you are beginning to get a handle on some of the issues, and God will provide the rest in time. That is my prayer. I agree with Hoosiermom on finding things; “Lord, you where they are, show me.” The same goes for the treatment you are searching for. The Lord knows what and where it is. Ask Him to show you, as I will pray the same prayer.
