It Is Not Whether Korans Should Be Burned, But Who Should Burn Them!

Just to clarify the position I expressed in my other posts, I do not think it is a good idea for a minister of the gospel to burn Qurans. Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center should go to where Muslims are and preach the free grace and forgiveness of God gained by Jesus Christ on the Cross and offered in the Free Gospel.

But not all book burning is bad. I would much rather, however, see ex-Muslims burn their own Korans just as I'd rather have Latter Day Saints burn their own books of Mormon:

Acts 19:18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
My other reason for diving headlong into this issue is not to defend Jones, but ask for some perspective. What Jones threatened to do to commemorate 9/11 is far less abhorrent than professing Christian ministers offering to read from the Koran in their pulpits or joining with Mormon Glenn Beck and Islamic Imams as if Christians had anything spiritually in common with them. We don't. Let's not water down the gospel while throwing water on Pastor Jones's bonfire.

This is what I have been advocating. Everyone who owns a koran should burn it, especially Muslims, since they have been most damaged by the evil content. The koran has done enough damage. Let’s put and end to it.

That is exactly in line with Acts 19:18. Good Post!

It was the New Converts THEMSELVES that burned their old, evil books. Not St. Paul.

***Be careful. You don’t want to end up with a Parrot that recites passages from the koran.****

But that is the only way muslims can quote the koran, like a parrot.

Please don’t misrepresent my position. I am not calling for people to burn books in protest. I sm saying that if someone has been freed from a false religion and as a sign of that freedom (not bondage or fear)they burn the books that deceived them, more power to them.
