A. "prophecy" teachers, "prophecy" experts, are almost always white Americans who are blind to God's amazing works in the rest of the world. How many of them foresaw the fall of the Soviet Union, for example? Or the explosive growth of the faith in the Global South?
B. "prophecy" teachers, "prophecy" experts, are almost always blind to God's gracious and powerful good news. To make it as a "prophecy" teacher, a "prophecy" expert, you need to keep ladling up massive servings of gloom and doom. It's what the market demands, I suppose. A market composed of losers, who are eager to embrace excuses for the failures of their own lives. After all, if God Himself has ordained the global triumph of evil, who am I to aspire to do anything, be anything, or achieve anything?
Your version of “blind” I’m sure. You have just made it onto my no reply list. Your bigotry is beyond what I want to deal with.
I stand by my assessment: Unless EVERYTHING this so-called “prophet” has said regarding “a word FROM THE LORD” has come true 100%, and has come true 100% OF THE TIME then according to God’s Word: he is a FALSE PROPHET and that which he is “prophesying” he is either making up out of whole cloth or he is being influenced by seducing spirits (demons) who are deceiving him with FALSE words purporting to be from God.
Be that as it may, I believe we concur that the original text of this post is pretentious, and dangerous. The true charismatic gift of prophecy, as I've seen it used, is humbler, refrains from making grand pronouncements, and simply gives the hearer an encouraging word picture to take away from the conversation.

I remember when the popular rage was to quote Nostradamus, then later we get the Mayan calendar, but it seems the old standby is Darby's Folly when if comes to folks wanting to be the smartest person around the water cooler and to have a non confirmable/non deniable explanation for what is just another day on a fallen earth.
They think that this Korean event is in prophecy yet Pearl Harbor, Dresden and Nagasaki never were.
In Acts 21:10 and 11, Agabus visually and dramatically illustrated how Paul would be bound in Jerusalem and clearly laid what took place at the feet of the Jews . Prophets often symbolized their predictions (cf. 1 Kings 11:29-31; Isa. 20:2-4; Jer. 13:1-7; Ezek. 4). Although the Romans bound the Apostle Paul, THE JEWS’ were ultimately responsible for instigating what took place (cf. Acts 21:33; Acts 28:17).
According to Claudius Lysias who was an eye witness in his statement before Felix he clearly indicates that Paul had been ARRESTED BY THE JEWS and was about to be SLAIN by them. Although not specifically stated in the text, in all likelihood, Paul had indeed also been bound by the Jews at his arrest. It is kind of hard to kill someone unless you first bind them so that they cannot fight back or flee their captors.
“Claudius Lysias, to the most excellent governor Felix, greetings.
“When this man was ARRESTED BY THE JEWS and was about to be SLAIN BY THEM, I came up to them with the troops and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman. (Acts 23:26-27 NASB, Emphasis added )
The last time I checked, the Jews, not the Romans initially arrested Paul and wanted to kill Paul:
"When the seven days were almost over, THE JEWS FROM ASIA, upon seeing him in the temple, BEGAN TO STIR UP ALL THE CROWD AND LAID HANDS ON HIM,
crying out, “Men of Israel, COME TO OUR AID! This is the man who preaches to all men everywhere AGAINST OUR PEOPLE AND THE LAW AND THIS PLACE; and besides he has even brought Greeks into the temple and HAS DEFILED THIS HOLY PLACE.”
For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and THEY SUPPOSED that Paul had brought him into the temple.
THEN ALL THE CITY WAS PROVOKED, and THE PEOPLE rushed together, AND TAKING HOLD OF PAUL T H E Y DRAGGED HIM OUT OF THE TEMPLE, and immediately the doors were shut.
While THEY WERE SEEKING TO KILL HIM, a report came up to the commander of the Roman cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.
At once he took along some soldiers and centurions and ran down to them; and when they saw the commander and the soldiers, THEY STOPPED BEATING PAUL.
THEN the commander came up and TOOK HOLD OF HIM, AND ORDERED HIM TO BE BOUND WITH TWO CHAINS; and he began asking who he was and what he had done.
But among the crowd some were shouting one thing and some another, and when he could not find out the facts because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks. (Acts 21:27-34 NASB, Emphasis added )
The last time I checked, the Jews, not the Romans initially arrested Paul and wanted to kill Paul. This is indeed TOTALLY CONSISTENT with the prophecy of Agabus found in Acts 21:10-11

2 After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them.
I would say that that the transfiguration isnt considered the kingdom of G-d. And why would Jesus say that some there would not taste death...when this event was only 6 days later? And who did die during those six days?
11 And they asked him, “Why do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?”
Luke ( 12 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected? 13 But I tell you, Elijah has come, and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him.” Matt11:13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. 15 Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Jesus says that Elijah the prophet is John the Baptist, his cousin. But John the Baptist says he is not Elijah.
John1: 21 They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”
24 Now the Pharisees who had been sent 25 questioned him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”
So isnt Jesus then a false prophet on both counts? And if John the baptist was Elijah, why wasnt John the baptist seen in the transfiguration? And Elijah was to restore all things...And all things were not restored. Clearly false prophecy.
And they were justified in doing so for the following reasons:
Deut 4:2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.
Deut 12:32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.
Deut 18: 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”
Paul clearly subtracted from the Torah. He clearly was speaking presumptuously in G-ds name. He was to be put to death.
The Apostle Paul who you have so maligned, had nothing but the utmost concern for the spiritual well being and salvation of the Jews:
"I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart.
For I could wish that I myself were ACCURSED, SEPARATED FROM CHRIST FOR THE SAKE OF MY BRETHREN, MY KINSMEN ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, WHO ARE ISRAELITES, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen." (Romans 9:1-5 NASB, Emphasis added)
"Brethren, my MY HEART'S DESIRE FOR THEM AND MY PRAYER TO GOD FOR THEM (i.e., the Israelites) is IS FOR THEIR SALVATION. For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.
For NOT KNOWING about GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS and seeking to establish THEIR OWN, THEY DID NOT SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.
For CHRIST is THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES." (Romans 10:1-4 NASB, Emphasis added )
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for IT IS THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES, TO THE JEW FIRST and also to the Greek. P> For IN IT (i.e., the gospel of Christ)THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IS REVEALED from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17 NASB, Emphasis added)
The problem with the Jews seeking to arrest and kill the Apostle Paul is that they blindly rejected the good news regarding the Messiah which he was presenting to them and it is obvious from your recent posts that although you have in the past heard the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the son of David and the promised Messiah of Israel, you have up to the present time also rejected Him as your Messiah and savior as well. This is indeed tragic because Jesus clearly states:
"Therefore I said to you that YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS; for UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM HE (i.e., the promised messiah), YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS.” (John 8:24 NASB, Emphasis added)
The good news is that it is not yet too late; God is still being merciful and gracious; offering you another opportunity to be reconciled to God by placing your faith in His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ before it is eternally too late.
As one who owes EVERYTHING in my spiritual life to the Jews (Every book in my Bible (save Luke and Acts) has come to me through Jewish authors inspired by the Holy Spirit of God to pen the Word of God; My Lord and Messiah, the one who alone has paid the terrible price for my sin and who bodily arose again from the dead, and who is coming again to establish His Messianic/Davidic kingdom centered in Jerusalem is also, in His humanity, a Jew as well.), I humbly beseech you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ so that you may be saved.
The gospel is not consistent with the Tanakh at all. Human sacrifice is forbidden, vicarious human atonement is forbidden, G-d is not a god-man, there is never to be a new Torah and Jesus did not fulfill messianic prophecies that could be measured objectively, only prophecies that could be retro actively applied and not objectively measured. Tanakh does not teach that messiah ben Yosef and messiah ben David are the same person. Nor is the messiah a god-man hybrid.
For all the lofty language Paul uses, he does in fact change Torah and was worthy of his punishment. The law is forever Psalm 111,
And I shall give them one heart, and shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God. (Ezekiel 11:19-20)
My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. (Ezekiel 37:24)
And many peoples shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths," for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:3)
The law is forever, the Jewish people will keep the law in the messianic era. The 3rd temple will be rebuilt, sacrificial system returns (Ezek 44) The priesthood returns and on and on. None of this is NT, Pauline doctrine. None. Paul spoke presumptuously in the name of G-d. Nor did the man from Nazareth have authority because it makes G-d out to be A) a liar B) a deciever C) a G-d who changes his mind, and HaShem does not change his salvation program mid-stream.
But it is not too late for Christians either. They can repent, give up their idolatry, serve HaShem via the sheva mitzvot or convert into Judaism. G-ds grace has always been there for Gentiles, they didnt need a Grecco-Roman god-man and a new Torah.
