Let me ask you a technical question..
Joseph Smith, the founder and “prophet” of Mormonism took the BIBLE, removed and replaced many of the words of MOSES with his own, then claimed that his additions were the original words of Moses. Joseph Smith hijacked the English version of the TORAH.
He then took many of the words of the prophets, removed many of their words and replaced them with his own, claiming they were the original words of the prophets.
He did the same with the Christian Scriptures.
Would you still trust this man or his church?
Note: The changes are so blatant that the LDS will not use the JS version, but the RLDS does use it.
While you're correct in generally not according respect to the burnt-over district, I see that you hold to exclusivity of THE church as ONLY belonging to an Orthodox monopoly...the same position the Mormon church holds to (D&C 1:30).
He was told that he must join none of them, for they were all wrong...Well, what Smith was toldby whoeverwas correct, but NOT for the reason that Smith came to believe!
Joseph Smith, shortly after their baby died, attended classes to join the Methodist church. And his mother was Presbyterian. So we know at least those two churches were present in his area.
Smith was not only told they were all wrong, but that ALL their creeds were an abomination to these entities.
So are you going on record in agreeing with that? -- That ALL the creeds of Presbyterians & Methodists are an "abomination?"
(If not, then I suggest you stop leaving yourself open to being widely critiqued on these -- and start backtracking and apologizing for your loose keyboard typing)
No, not all the creeds of protestant (and for that matter Roman Catholic) churches are abominations, especially since there is a great deal of agreement with the Orthodox Church.
However, the Orthodox Church remains the Church established by our Lord and His Apostles, and has the fulness of the Christian faith, which “denominations” lack. And Orthodoxy is a lot more than a set of doctrines, but is a way of life—remember the Apostles called the Christian faith “The Way” in the New Testament!
Then you retract this part of what you said in post #120? He was told that he must join none of them, for they were all wrong...Well, what Smith was toldby whoeverwas correct,
Because the nameless entities that spoke to Smith as recorded in Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith History, told him in vv. 18-20 that ALL of the creeds of these Christian sects were an "abomination."
These entities didn't parcel out which ones ... just said "ALL."
So, would you say these entities were NOT correct, after all?
It matters absolutely nothing whether I retract something or not, or the details of Smith’s visitation/delusion or whatever.
The only thing that is important is that the holy Orthodox Catholic Church is the original Church founded by Christ and His Apostles, and that it contains the fulness of God’s revelation through His Son our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Rather than attempting to bash people on these Mormon threads, why not “taste and see”? Visit an English-language Orthodox parish for Divine Liturgy on a Sunday morning. Read “The Orthodox Church” and “The Orthodox Way” by Bishop Kallistos Ware, or other good books about Orthodoxy.

That would be a lot more productive.
“I tithe 10% on my net (not gross) income.”
... So, you tithe on the leftovers?
... After the government takes theirs?
... So to you, a tithe is less than 10% of your income.
... Is this common mormon math or original?
It is always helpful to have a personal revelation or contact with heavenly beings such as angels. This is probably the key to the great and swift growth of the Mormon church. People are always looking for miracles.
