Read post #6...plenty to critique about Obama's religious associations as well...

Sorry, but protectors of Obama don't tend to assail him as I did there...

Better try another angle.

I am sorry that I ever posted to you. I can see there is no reasoning with a real Romney hater.

Waste your vote any way you like it is your right to do so.

We will win despite you.

You expect a politician to be aligned with your SPIRITUAL views???

No.

But I wouldn't have expected McCain or Sarah Palin to proclaim they were "gods in embryo," either.

Nor would it have been very "inspirational" for Christians, either, if McCain or Palin's religion had condemned Christians the same way that the sacred "scriptures" of Mormons specifically do!

Snapshot of Joseph Smith’s Slanderous Invectives vs. Christian Sects

Mormon Source

[Note: Most of these are Mormon ‘scriptures'. In fact, First three rows below are Lds 'scripture' & therefore cannot be rug-swept any more than a Jew might try to take three commandments off of the very tablets of stone Moses brought down from the mountain]
“...which of all the sects was right… must join NONE of them, for they were ALL WRONG… those professors were ALL CORRUPT…” Joseph Smith – History vv. 18-19. – Lds "scripture" Pearl of Great Price
...“which of all the sects was right…ALL their CREEDS were an ABOMINATION in his sight…they teach for doctrines the commandments of MEN…” Joseph Smith – History vv. 18-19. – Lds "scripture" Pearl of Great Price
Mormon church the only ‘Christ-sanctioned’ church on earth: “…the foundation of this [Mormon] church…the ONLY true and living church on the face of the whole earth” [Obvious ‘scorched earth’ implication: All other churches are false and dead] Lds “scripture” Doctrines & Covenants 1:30
Direct question asked of Joseph Smith: 'Will everybody be damned, but Mormons?" Answer from Lds "prophet" Joseph Smith: 'Yes, and a great portion of them, unless they repent, and work righteousness." Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 119 [Not “scripture” – but still publicly spoken by the Mormon ‘living prophet’ and published by a later Mormon ‘living prophet,’ Joseph Fielding Smith – via a publisher owned by the Mormon church – Deseret News Press, 1938]
“In 1952…the first official proselyting plan was sent to missionaries throughout the world…It included seven missionary discussions that emphasized…[four topics, one of them being]THE APOSTASY and Restoration…” [This makes it 60 years that Mormon church missionaries, now numbering 55,000, have formally emphasized in its training & door to door saturation a priority in bashing the worldwide Christian church as “apostates” (100% AWOL)] Our Heritage: A Brief History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints p. 116, 1996

I stand corrected: “simpleton” does, in fact, begin to define your mental state.

It should be followed by “fanatical”, however.

I dont know about this claim. I do wedding videos as part of my business and have done a Mormon wedding at the gorgeous Mormon temple in Columbus and the bride went in to the temple all dry and made up in a big dress and came out about 45 min or so later (we were not allowed in the temple, made my job easier) looking dry and untouched, just happy. Granted, i know very little of the Mormon faith but i call bullpatties on this story.

(Well, like I said in post #14, FREEPER voters in about 43 states won't even -- or don't even -- need to contribute to that "win" you're talking about...all except the swing states...FR voters in some 43 states won't have a bottom-line effect)

Just because Romney doesnt go around publicizing the good deeds he’s done doesn’t mean he hasn’t done them. In the bible it clearly states not to.boast about the “works” you have done to other men. Now another politician we all know likes to claim responsibility for things he hasn’t even done (just ask Seal Team 6):

http://www.glennbeck.com/2012/09/12/the-incredible-stories-of-character-the-media-isnt-telling-you-about-mitt-romney/

I’ll take a Godly man with values over a Muslim president that has removed God from the Pledge of Allegiance, an American flag pin from his lapel, and forced people to pay a mandated unprecedented tax against the American people’s will any day.

Overall collective FREEPER message? 'Tis 'A-OK' to highlight all-things-Muslim 'bout Obama; but hypocritically, a double-standard then is communicated re: Mitt Romney's "I'm-a-god" beliefs.

Here's the difference: we are at war with Islam (whether Western governments choose to admit it or not). Therefore any indication that an American official may be a closet Muslim also indicates that he would be a closet traitor, because a Muslim may not take the side of infidels against fellow Muslims.

Conversely, I don't see how being a Mormon would lead one into treason against the United States. Perhaps you could explain some scenarios if you disagree?

Try another angle? Why? Because you equivocate Mormonism with Islam and so consider that as a great argument to hide behind as you post your anti-Mormon threads?

Sorry, YOU try again. Obama DENIES his ties to Islam. Romney does not deny his ties to the Mormon religion. Therefore it is only right that Obama's ties to Islam continue to be investigated.

Continue to use that stupid argument if you wish as you protect your boy Obama but don't insult our intelligence by trying to justify it as "well everybody else does it".

Yup. I’d guess that if Romney were to try to install a Mormon theocracy the six Roman Catholics and three Jews on the Supreme Court would take issue with it (ok, maybe five Roman Catholics since Roberts would probably find some incredibly convoluted reasoning to allow him to support a major Presidential initiative)

In stark contrast to biblical truth, Billy Graham has also said this:

“I used to believe that pagans in far-off countries were lost—were going to hell. I no longer believe that. I believe that there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God—through nature, for instance.” (McCall Magazine Jan. 1987).

“I respect other paths to God,” (Billy Graham, Parade Magazine, Oct 20th 1996)

And then on Robert Schuller’s “Hour of Power” he had this exchange:

Dr. Schuller: “Tell me, what is the future of Christianity?”

Dr. Graham: “Well, Christianity and being a true believer, you know, I think there’s the body of Christ which comes from all the Christian groups around the world, or outside the Christian groups. I think that everybody that loves Christ or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the body of Christ. And I don’t think that we’re going to see a great sweeping revival that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. What God is doing today is calling people out of the world for His name. Whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts they need something that they don’t have and they turn to the only light they have and I think they’re saved and they’re going to be with us in heaven.”

Dr. Schuller: “What I hear you saying is that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into a human heart and soul and life even if they’ve been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you’re saying?”

Dr. Graham: “Yes it is because I believe that. I’ve met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, have never heard of Jesus but they’ve believed in their hearts that there is a God and they tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived.”

Dr. Schuller: “This is fantastic. I’m so thrilled to hear you say that. There’s a wideness in God’s mercy.

Dr. Graham: There is. There definitely is.”

I would love to hear him explain why he believes he is smarter than the writers of Holy Scripture. I would also like an explanation for why his organization has deleted all references to the LDS as a cult from their website. Do they stand for the gospel truth or not?

The point is that this same God is still the Sovereign of nations, and He still can exercise temporal judgment upon people groups and nations.

Then why has he allowed the Church of Latter-Day Saints to survive and thrive?

I'm a Catholic, and I'm pretty confident your sources also have a long, wordy discourse on why I'm going to Hell because of my faith. But, I'm supporting Mitt Romney whole-heartedly, as are millions of other conservatives and right-thinking Democrats.

When it comes to rendering judgement on the faith of others, I just remember that Christ told me to take the plank out of my own eye before I start to worry about the specks in the eyes of others. Maybe you should try that.

For the case of senators and reps, where there is a choice between a deep RINO incumbent who has a record of siding with the Dems on important votes, versus a Dem, I would vote third party, just to eliminate the incumbent RINO.

For President, the time for selecting the ideal candidates was the primary. We didn't, mainly because no real candidate was perfect enough to satisfy the SoCons. Romney is what we have. We'll try harder next time.

It’s pretty obvious Romney does good deeds for others without wanting publicity because of his belief and faith in God. Can’t say the same about the Traitor in Chief in the WH right now.

Sounds a lot like what you're doing with Romney's conscience

Not at all. With you, you were inwardly judging the motives of Tricia Erickson.

With me, we can track what Romney has outwardly condemned -- and confirmed -- about Mormonism. He did on one occasion condemn historical Lds polygamy. Other than that, he has confirmed the rest:

"There are some for whom these commitments are not enough. They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers - I will be true to them and to my beliefs."
