"If Jesus were alive today, he would be more inclined to say, 'you know, I didn't know it all...'" - Rev. Oliver White, Sean Hannity Show, March 27, 2013
In general, most news outlets have provided awful coverage of the Supreme Court proceedings on same-sex marriage. Covering the proceedings like they cover a political campaign or a sporting event, most of the analysis and commentary has been about political "wins" for one side or the other and the ramifications of the pending decision on homosexuals in our society, rather than the wide-ranging ramifications for society itself.
Filling the void of thoughtful analysis has been talk radio. Unlike the vapid and two-dimensional conversations repeated every ten minutes on cable, talk radio has been able to explore larger questions entwined in the same-sex marriage debate and have been able to challenge the politically correct orthodoxy presented in other media outlets where it comes to the religious side of the issue.
Enter Sean Hannity whose Wednesday show featured a fascinating exchange with Terry Jeffrey, a news editor from CNS News Service, and Rev. Oliver White, a pro-same sex marriage pastor. Because Hannity is not constrained by the limitations of a TV news schedule and the need to change subjects every 5 minutes, as is so often the case on cable news, he was able to allow the on-air debate over the scriptural basis for marriage to naturally unfold to the point where the lack of scriptural foundation for same-sex marriage was laughingly evident........

Great, another heretic with a fancy robe and a pulpit. The Great Apostasy spreads apace.
God created man in His own image and man has been returning the favor ever since.
I’m sorry “pastor”, but you’re wrong. Jesus also said that marriage doesn’t exist in Heaven. You saying He’s wrong about that, too?
this guy is ordained? by who? Satan?
It's the Church of Do Whachoo Wanna Do:
Oh dear! There have been many times in the past 2000 years when people thought it was time for Armageddon. I have always thought that it would be far in the future, but now I’m starting to wonder...
This pastor has turned his back on the Word of God and he is being led around by the small, stupid head of man.
I’ve *always* known I’d be alive to see it.
Kinda casts a pall on a person’s life but it is what it is.
There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Peter 3:14-18
Romans 1:20-32 pretty much sums it up for those who claim God never condemned homosexuality in the NT. (Also 1 Corinthians is fairly clear on the issue).
Bingo.
No Christian he. Wolf in sheep’s clothing to lead those astray who do not know any better.
Arrogant, aren’t we, Reverend?
Divine Justice is a Scary Thing!
May those who left this man’s congregation be blessed as they seek out a Bible Believing church. It is VERY hard to leave a church because of doctrinal error. The sense of family, the friendships, the community, and the social aspects of belonging are VERY Compelling. It is far easier to make excuses for the pastor, hope he will change his mind, or even stay on as “a light in the darkness”.
However, all those benefits are but dross if the church is not teaching Truth. I have had to do this myself on more than one occasion, and it is heart-wrenching and devastating.
The Pastor is an idiot.
My post got pulled.
Can you believe that?
Fixed that for ya...:)
you know, Jesus might have been “wrong”, but 1 billion Chinese say Confucius was right when he posited traditional marriage as the basis for society.
I don’t know if he preaches hellfire and brimstone, but he will experience it.

So the only human who was, is and shall always been both fully divine and fully human and a member of the Trinity, was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin and ultimately defeated death by rising again and the center of the universe wasn’t “smart enough” according to this “pastor” to know what he was talking about in Matthew 19:4-6?
Then again, I think it’s probably a requirement in the UCC to deny His virgin birth, divinity, resurrection, etc.
This fellow is going to have a face to face with the Lord some day and severely regret this comment. Jesus was, is, always correct. He knew before the foundation of the earth every comment to be made by every human being that ever lived. Thus He knew this fool would make this stupid comment. Thus whatever Jesus said when He walked on this earth, He said it correctly. He regrets nothing He said at any time. This idiot will though.
