I’m single and when I go to church I feel a little odd sitting by myself. Not to makes excuses but often I don’t go because of it.
I had no clue God requires you to worship Him with a companion in tow. Maybe obama worshippers because obama is a fag anyways..
I too am single and, oftentimes, sit by myself. My purpose in going to church is to worship God. When I see others sitting by themselves, I go over, introduce myself and thank them for joining us that day. One woman broke down in tears, saying that, up until then, no one had ever made her feel welcome in any church. She, and a few other single women, are now my pew partners. Give it a try! You may discover a new friend in the process.
Not to make excuses either, I go two to three times with my wife and kids. We homeschool and sometimes they’ll go to our homestate to be with our parents for 2-3 weeks. I have a hard time going without my wife, so often I don’t during those weeks she’s gone.

Are you the only single person in your church? My wife and I make it a point to sit with our single friends, or our friends who have a spouse on deployment, and one friend whose husband is in prison. Your church should be like a family. You may walk in alone, but you shouldn’t ever feel alone once you are there. Maybe you need a new church.
It doesn’t bother me in the least.
The angels are sitting right next to you. You’re never alone.

I used to feel the same way. After reading this article will not feel so bad. At least not guilty of not going and for what? A stupid child’s game that in the long run does not amount to a hill of beans. Most often the parents are fighting in the stands over their child either not getting enough play time or their team not winning? Yes the kids are much better off in church.
Do go! You are an integral part of a community!
If sitting alone is of great concern take a friend or go alone and make a new friend or take a friend and both of you make new friends. Christianity is more a way of life than a religion.
I travel a lot. Being 'alone' at church may on those occasions may be even 'odder' for me.
I go anyway.
It's not about me and my feelings.
It's about Our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not 'alone' ... He's there, and I'm there to worship Him.
