That’s very interesting, yarddog, and would explain some things. But how does Dr. Stanley not know what is going on. He is getting on in years though so might not oversee every little thing.
In the early 90s when I was listening to him, I would often call the number to order a tape or some other information and the people were always kind and helpful. That was before I had a computer.
Now I email them and ask about past issues of the magazine or something else and I never receive a reply. It is like nobody cares anymore. Haven’t called in a long time but email is just dead...they don’t answer a one.
I do not attend any church or even have TV anymore. I listen to his sermons on youtube occasionally and have not seen error in them yet.
Still it is a sad day when so many of the world’s prominent Christians compromise the faith. Which is why it’s gotta be Christ and only Christ all the way.
I have not heard anything of Andy so perhaps I will go and listen to some of his preaching. I know he and his dad had some sort of a falling out, but I was not following them at that time. So I am really playing catch up and basing my thoughts on my past dealings with his ministry.
Time for the torch to be passed to a new generation but are there any that will take up the true mantle of faith....not looking good.

I’ve listened on and off to Stanley. He’s okay, but I never really thought he was all that outstanding. I prefer Zacharias and David Jeremiah, and Lutzer. I forget Lutzer’s first name, as I don’t get to hear him much, but he is good when I do hear his messages. I prefer to study my Inductive Study bible, which has no commentary by anybody, but helps you to discover the message of the text by studying the key words, and elements in the passage. You read this person’s Bible commentary or another and they all have differing views. It’s very confusing.

I had not been there for quite a long time but was looking for something on Zacharias and came across it again. As far as I know they are biblical Christians and are holding the light of Scripture to error.
But as we see here, even the elect can be deceived...and if ever I thought there was an elected person, Dr. Stanley would have been it. Just goes to show no one is above being deceived. We all fall short and miss the mark.

No, just falling into the same spiritual deception that is Catholicism, mysticism, Buddhism, universalism, etc. Anything that takes ones eyes off Christ is what Satan loves.
Satan is a great deceiver and will grab many who feel it is more important to get along with their fellow man than it is to proclaim Christ.
