I don’t normally criticize bishops, but Donald Weurl is the exception. The great destroyer of the Diocese of Pittsburgh needs a reality check if he thinks Cardinal Burke or any serious Catholic would endorse this New Age Jesus movie. And if Mother Angelica were still calling the shots it would be not be mentioned on EWTN. Raymond Arroyo should be ashamed of himself for praising a movie that twists the Word of God and takes so many liberties with scripture the movie should be labeled fiction.

THAT'S FUNNY coming from a Catholic.

The Catholic church puts forth so much fiction about Mary and calls it *Sacred Tradition* and Catholics complain about a movie not following the Bible close enough?

The hypocrisy abounds.

What’s the problem? Downey is a Catholic. She probably learned to be fast and loose with scripture from the leadership of that organization.

I tell the truth, and I could care less what denomination someone claim to be. Roma Downey has strayed far, far from Catholicism. How many Catholics praise Joel Osteen and Rick Warren? Not many.

Sorry you’re not funny you’re a boring troll. Just because you’re online doesn’t mean you should act like a 12 year old.

That show was anything but Scriptural, I thought it was OK the first year or so, barely.

Was not the same quality as Highway to Heaven, not suggesting it was by the Book either

Saw the cast and producer/director after first year on Larry King, they wanted to distance themselves from... Born Again, Conservative Christians etc

Was troubling what they said

They brought in that angel of death guy, it was just a joke after the first year, anything went

How could a Christian support abortion, homosexuality and the removal of God/Christ from classroom /public square??

I challenge folks that say they are Christian yet vote for these non Christian evils

Here`s hoping/praying that she has had a change of heart since then?

People like Olsteen and Warren tried to give cover to people voting for anti Christian candidates

I personally cant get past that

Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas). Simeon was told by the Holy Spirit that he would not die until he saw the Messiah. When Joseph and Mary took the child Jesus to the temple, to present Him, Simeon was there and Mary gave the Christ child to him to hold. The prophecy for Simeon was fulfilled through the hands of Mary, a grace received through her. If you want to find Jesus, go to His mother, and go to her with great confidence.

Mary does not confer grace on us. She can't. That's more Catholic fiction.

She's a created being, a redeemed, sinful human like the rest of us.

We are given grace by God in Christ, not through Mary. HE is the one who gives us grace. Not anyone or anything else.

Ephesians 1:3-14 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
