Miraculous claims surrounding the coming forth of the Book of Mormon are an evidence of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith. Critics intent on discrediting the Restoration point to DNA studies on indigenous American peoples in an attempt to expose Joseph, the Book of Mormon, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as frauds. Claiming that scientific evidence excludes any possibility that Middle Eastern or ancient Jewish travelers came to the Americas in antiquity, such critics attempt to sow seeds of doubt in the minds of Latter-day Saints and those of other faiths concerning the authenticity of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.
Are these studies credible? Do the data actually show what the critics claim? Do they discredit the Book of Mormon, or is there biological and other scientific evidence that supports the claims that it is indeed an ancient record of a people that once inhabited the Americas?
The Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research (FAIR) interviews scholars and scientists to answer these important questions and reveals the faith-affirming truth that not only are the critics' conclusions and methods flawed, but that there is credible scientific evidence in favor of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.
You planning to make beens ???
Good supper on a cold night..
Be sure to put lots of ham in the pot
your inability to ask the Lord what is this all about
__________________________________________
Resty as you already know I didn’t have to “ask the Lord”
He sent someone to me to tell me that Mormonism is a false religion and that Joey smith was a liar and a conman and a false prophet...
that was in 1968..
so I knew to avoid the pitfalls of Mormonism ...
and I thank God every time I read how lost and hurting you and the other cult members are that God warned me about the trap of Satan called Mormonism..
The Bible and The Book of Mormon as well as all the standard works testify to Jesus Christ.

No Resty only the Bible is the Word of god..
the book of Mormon is just a fiction written by a deceiver in order to sell and make money..
The book of mormon has nothing to do with the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible..
The Bible and The Book of Mormon as well as all the standard works testify to Jesus Christ.

the book of Mormon just testifies that the Mormon jesus is another jesus and not the LORD Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible
“Testament of another jesus”
that was going to be “been too long” in mid sentences I corrected to “things to do” (didn’t quite delete been) was waiting for a delivery it has arrived so must cook dinner....
Why do you keep saying I do not believe the Bible
______________________________________
If you did you wouldn’t add things that are not there
like the need to be dead dunked to go to the Mormon after life..
like being able to get out of Hell and go to the Mormon after life centuries after a person dies an unbeliever..
Like the LORD Jesus Christ saving us in the garden and either not on the Cross or also..
Like the blood of Jesus cannot save anyone who has committed murder..
that the blood of Jesus is not powerful enough to save everyone..
that Jesus needs Joey Smith to help him..
that joey Smith gets to decide who goes to Heaven..
That men have many wives in heaven and they have sex and get their many wives pregnant..
etc
Well I do hope that delivery was part of your ongoing quest ...a Bible..
and that you will read it..
JimRob pinged solely out of FR convention, because I mentioned the Big Guy in my post.
Have no such recollection.
No theres no way that happened...
we tell you just about every day who God is and the truth about Jesus ..
I do and several others do too..
over the years you've had quite a through Bible College course..
you've had Army chaplains and Pastors helping you too..
God has sent you the best teachers...
so you can never tell Jesus you didn't know..
I was not aware of that, I was aware when years ago she said she liked being called reaty.
If R doesn’t want a nickname I wont use one.
It was the Religion Moderator, and he made the request of his/her own doing.
It was the Religion Moderator, and he made the request of his/her own doing.
Thanks for pinging me on that.
I apologize; I should have pinged you.
I remember the person posting as Religion Moderator at the time made a big deal about it saying "resty means lazy and is offensive" and reprimanded a few who hadn't got the news...I don't recall restornu personally making a big deal about it.
Given the slurs often delivered by restornu to other FReepers, I thought it was a tempest in a tea pot.
I started calling Restornu by a pet name years ago..
I called her Resty for short as a friendly term..
Nothing derogatory was ever meant by the name..
we shorten FReeper names and nobody seems to mind..
I was wrong.
I searched for the thread before posting and couldn’t find it.
I said restornu objected, but she didn’t. I was a Religion Moderator. That’s why I said above “he [the Religion Moderator] made the request of his/her own doing.”
I was later able to find the thread and admit I was wrong.
Unless restornu herself objects to the nickname, I have nothing more to say except that I’m sorry for creating this mess.
restornu; I learned to read in grade school.
It's a WONDERFUL way to learn things.
If you would just READ the things your CHOSEN religion has published; your understanding would be GREATLY increased.
LDS, Inc. would NOT publish these things if it did NOT want people to read and understand them; right?
