Hell and heaven are real places, and it's up to each of us to decide which door we will enter, or which road we go down.

We all have a free will to chose, no one will make it for us. When it's all said and done we will only have ourselves to blame if we end up in hell.

Christ died for each and everyone of us to have the chance at eternal salvation. I advise each and everyone of you to Choose wisely.

"48 Hours In Hell" seems to be the product of a very fertile tract-writer's imagination. The dead give-away of the falseness is that the motive of earning one's way to heaven is woven into the finish of the tale as a reward for "living a Christian life." This approach is a sure indicator of the true path leading to a real Hell, not just 48 hours of it.

Even allowing the possibility that the protagonist was actually someone lying under a pile of close-packed coal for that amount of time without utterly expiring (most probably also a product of the "narrators" creativity), the "tale" neither mentions a Biblical Gospel nor a Redeemer to whom the victim might trust the rest of his/her life.

Neither does the story match the doctrine and timeline as to the relationship between a literal Sheol/Hades/Hell (of which there was a sign, written in the teller's own language??); a final judgment scene, dominated by a great throne and Judge; and a fiery reservoir into which death, "Hell", fallen angels, and unjustified humans are consigned forever, sometime in the future after the Final Judgment..

The plight of carefully considering the death of the Man Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, which punishment each born human actually does deserve, ought to be enough to reach out for the promise of missing out on such a perpetuity of torment as a condition of relief.

The heralding of assured delivery from death and Hell, for ever, solely on persistently, permanently, and irretrievably committing trust in the Loving God Who humanly substituted Himself for one's deserved punishment, on the basis of which a human crying out for mercy may be justly declared "Not Guilty" (on the basis of exchanging roles), ought to be enough of a holy prompting for one to accept the release from the penalty, the power, and eventually even the presence of Sin and sinfulness of any otherwise lost descendant of Adam.

Sorry, I'm not buying this story of "48 Hours In Hell" as a truthful Gospel-declaring, conviction-rendering, conscience-searing, soul-saving, sentence-pardoning, foundation-laying pathway to a permanent residence in The God's Eternal Presence and Fellowship.

Though the hint of Hades in the offing ought to cause one to attempt to discern the meaning of the Real Saviour's Merits, Methods, and Message, eh?

This isn’t directed to any one persons comment, but more of a general statement as to why I posted the story, and what I believe.

First off, thanks for those who defended my attempt to point out the obvious of stating what one needs to do to be saved and how I did not mean to accuse anyone of not being a Christian, but just wanted to point out the error of our way when we think we are real good when nothing we do is good. It’s all dung to God.

I am not pinging this to fabian, because he doesn’t even believe in the same Christ as we do, by his own admittance.

I do not believe the man in the story died, even if he thinks he did. I believe the_daug said it best, by the idea the guy was probably oxygen deprived and not dead. deep sleep maybe, and I think God used a dream to wake him up, not physically, but spiritually.

God has often times used dreams to speak to us. So no, he was not dead, and I should have added this when i posted the story. For that I apologize.

I also agree that the very fact that hell exists should tell us why we should change our lives. Hell was created for Satan and the angels who fell with him, but God will send any human there if that is their choice, He would rather not and I believe it hurts Him to do so when we reject Him for such a terrible place out of ignorance.

I posted this story, just because it was a very good read.

I cannot remember his name, but there was a very good well known preacher from the 1800’s who said that if every man spent 5 seconds in hell they would never go against God.

I agree, but then we would not be choosing him off His Word, but instead off empirical evidence we see. God wants us to chose Him on faith and without human verifiable proof other than his Word.

The man in this story, was scared straight one could say. As I said, I think it was but a dream. No more than a dream I had the other day of being in a very dangerous situation that could or never take place. I am not Joseph or Daniel so I cannot interpret dreams. If this man’s dream saved his soul than it’s a great testimony.

I am sure I wrote too much, so that someone will take something I said to task. Well, so be it.

God bless each and everyone of you and thanks for your response, and I again apologize if anything I wrote insulted anyone, I did not do so with that result in mind.
