We can discuss it in the original language, and I will prove to you that you are wrong, because Jesus is God.

To satisfy my curiosity, would you please kindly take a moment to describe your understanding of John 1:1, particularly the last phrase?

(I think you meant that you'd discuss in English terms the precise meaning imparted by the Koine for this thought which was translated rather ambiguously by the KJV translators. You don't want to discuss it in the original language, do you?)

Yes I wanted to debate him in the original Koine Greek the NT epistles were written in. What better way to prove he is clueless as to what was written in the original language, and thus clueless of what he is talking about.

See, nothing shuts up a heretic or cultist up quicker than to challenge them to a debate in the original language the Scriptures were written in.

It’s really funny when Jehovah’s Witnesses come around. I bring out my Hebrew/Greek/English Interlinear Bible out and they run away like a vampire being shown a cross.

It truly is funny to watch.

So yes, I challenged him to a debate in the original language for him to attempt to defend his lie. He obviously never responded to my challenge though.

See, English is such a difficult language to translate the actual meaning of Koine Greek words. Like the fact that there are four different words the Greek language used to describe the four different ways to use the word love, but we use the same word for all four meanings.

That is why it is so easy to confuse those who don’t even have a simple understanding of the Bible, let alone the original meaning of words. Cultists use false interpretations of the ancient language to fool unlearned people into believing lies. Most people look blankly and take their word for what they say.

Koine, is the most beautiful language ever spoken, and that is Why God came during that time. it was the best language to convey His message in. So I suggest all serious Bible studiers to learn it.
