Satanists Sell Out Black Mass at Oklahoma Civic Center
Gateway Pundit ^ | 9/12/14 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 09/13/2014 12:29:47 PM PDT by BlatherNaut

The Satanic founders of Dakhma of Angra Mainyu will hold their public black mass at the Oklahoma civic center as planned. The event is sold out.

Tickets for the event are $17.50 and include a performance from a band. The Christian Post reported:

The Satanist group that will stage a controversial “black mass” at an Oklahoma City civic center has said that all 88 tickets for its Sept. 21 event are sold out. The co-founder of the group revealed that the ritual will go ahead despite strong Christian protests and will feature a satanic exorcism, but will be “toned down” to comply with state health laws.

“One of the dictates of the church is not only to educate the members but to educate the public, and to debunk the Hollywood-projected image of our beliefs,” Dakhma of Angra Mainyu’s Adam Daniels told ABC News.

That’s kinda what I meant - you don’t realize you’re on a religious thread...until you find out you’re on a religious thread. There are “caucuses” in which you can read but you cannot post. I’ve got more in trouble on religious threads than I ever did on the political threads.

Referring to you’re”left behind” comment ,sounds as if you’ abandoned the rapture theory?
I would side with that.

Wasn't even aware. Not my scene. But I'm a sane Christian. You know, one who doesn't substitute symbols for vowels in certain words. LOL!. BTW, when you see someone do that, it's a clear sign you are talking to a certified nutcase.

I was like you a year ago - I’ve gotta wean myself off of the religious forums - they’re crazy. I will say, though, that religious Jews will not spell out the word God - that’s basic to them. But anybody else? Come on!!!

All *88*?!?!

What a joke!!!

But no surprise that Satanists would be deceitful in making it sound like it was filling the auditorium.

I guess they got a head count first and then *sold* that number of tickets so they could say it was a sell out.

Aren’t those just the ‘daily devotional’ variety?

Oh I know. I was referring to freepers who pull the "h#ll" and "d@mn" nonsense. And not just on religion threads. Crazies.

“Believers have been provided authority over these evil spirits if we would only claim it”

To what extent? I’m familiar with the scripture that implores us to resist Satan, upon which he will flee, as well as the scripture which indicates angels are encamped around God’s followers.

However, remember that the angel originally sent to Daniel was thwarted for 21 days.

Ah, the haters are showing up - not the sweet evangelicals who have dominated this thread. Mama: take over - I’ve had enough you.

88 tickets? Might as well be 99 balloons.

My recollection is the place can hold at least a few thousand. ..

Timing wise, it is quite possible that such words would make their way from the Greco-Roman (Greek) and Indo-Roman (Sanskrit) world into Roman England and then into the Viking world when the Vikings attacked England and took women and slaves back home.

That said, Rome had trade with India when Julius Caesar was emperor and afterward.

If you follow the language, you can learn a lot of history.

The Middle Ages (13th century) are actually only a short time ago nowadays. Tracing language back even further is coming shortly.

Word etymology will experience a great leap forward (backward?)in the digital age and with honest academics poring over all written accounts of history.

Even the Resurrection of Jesus is now considered a historical fact by many historians and theologians who have studied it from an evidentiary POV (eye witness accounts).

No honest evangelicals (i.e. folks living in the example of Jesus would be hateful). If they are hateful, they are frauds.

BTW, knowing you live in the metro NYC area, check out Tim Keller (the link is to a series of serious grillings he had at Columbia U by atheists).

He is taking Manhattan by storm.

BTW, I spent much of my career in NYC and much of that on the West Side.

I have watched tons of Tim Keller tapes on YouTube and would love to be there now.

The very idea that someone can be bringing Noo Yawkers to Christ is bizarre...and wonderful.

That’s a very valid point I was going to make but you beat me to it. Most Christians, even on here, do not hate sinners, but the sin. I’m certain the same would extend to the Catholic vs. non-Catholic posters. I’ll take it a step further by adding I still feel a certain kinship with Catholics (versus atheists or agnostics), even though one or more of their practices may provoke God’s anger.

I don’t know who Tim Keller is. I’m a Catholic; I don’t watch evangelical preachers. Sorry.
