(Reuters) - If Republicans win control of the Senate in the midterm elections they should say a prayer of thanks for Christian conservatives.
Although they get little attention from candidates, white evangelical Christian voters are likely to be fundamental to any Republican victories in the key Senate races, especially in the South.
Reuters/Ipsos polling data shows evangelicals are more enthusiastic than the general population about the midterms.

But are white fundamental Christian voters are likely to be evangelical...

I thought the Republican bosses had a soul-searching meeting after the Romney loss, and determined that the conservative Christian was to be disowned in favor of the illegal Latins, LGBT types, and female voter. I’m pretty sure they said that at bottom, the conservative is a problem for the party.
Why now is the White Christian so pivotal?
How and why, since the Republican candidates aren't talking about these issues?
With the GOP positions on abortion watered down to after 20 weeks of pregnancy as opposed to Reagan’s from the moment of conception and all the running for the tall grass on gay marriage I don’t know if all those folks should be happy with the song and dance of the GOPe.
My Republican governor is failing to have his health department properly inspect and regulate abortion clinics in PA. They passed a new law after the horrors of the Gosnell clinic but it doesn’t seem to mean much.
We are told by the “Pro-Life Federation” of the political machine that Governor Corbett is Pro-Life but his hands off approach to existing law and regulation puts in the same boat with the Pro-Abortion Democrat running against him.
A Uniparty exists on abortion in PA with imaginary differences created by the political machine.
They will be lied to by the political machine with scary emotional ads.....
How many percent of blacks and Hispanics identify with the Christian Right?
After running pro-abortion Mitt Romney in 2012, the GOP announced that they were going to get back to their pro-life position.
“The same week, the Republican National Committee decided that it was time for the national party to wade back into the pro-life waters after a perceived hiatus from using it as a platform issue. A Resolution on Republican Pro-Life Strategy formally re-established abortion as a 2014 election issue for the party and seeks to push back on the war on women rhetoric that Democrats have made synonymous with the pro-life movement.”
Few blacks have grasped the connection of religion to voting, but many Protestant Hispanics have.
So much for “rebranding,” eh?
White Christian Conservatives are the majority base for the GOP.
Why we have been kicked to the curb for years and years is beyond me.
Why they blame us for their losers (Mittens and McCain) losing elections is also beyond me.
I read the article and didn’t see any mention of sexual abuse by a catholic priest......why did you post this article? By mistake?
