Scripture interprets scripture, takes care of the difficult passages...

ROFL........that's what they all say!

The "lib Lutherans" say the same.

Whom to believe?

You or them?

Luther was barely out of the seminary when he started his antics against the Church. I’ve never understood why anyone would consider him as theologian.

You might pose that same question to our FReeper Lutherans. They will have a different read on him, to say the least. I found his bio on Google and there have been MANY books written about him.
He was also a PROLIFIC writer himself.

The doctrine of Confessional Lutheranism is found in Scripture and the Book of Concord, any can access and read it. So it isn't made up from tradition like Catholicism and given a thumb's up from a panel of old priests.

FYI lib lutherans support abortion, homosexuality as normative, and the ordination of women. As a result, even a Catholic with little discernment can deduce they don't follow God's Word. So unless there is 'no' discernment, the choice is fairly easy to make as to whom to believe.

Like I said earlier, the lib lutherans and the trending Catholics under Francis should do well together.

So, as a Catholic, do you take religious instruction from heretics?

The “Book of Concord” is man-made. Anyone can write his own “book”.

He just wants the Catholic liturgy to be [EVEN] more like the Lutheran’s. Back off, Frank.

You know, of course, that the liturgy of the Lutheran Divine Service is based on the Pre-Tridentine Mass.

Yeah, and that's what Bugnini said about JXXIII's Mass.

Both Luther and Bugnini were wrong.

I've yet to find a Christian group of believers whose "confession" is not "found in Scripture". Including the "lib Lutherans".

Clearly, it isn't self-interpreting.

FYI lib lutherans support abortion, homosexuality as normative, and the ordination of women. As a result, even a Catholic with little discernment can deduce they don't follow God's Word.

Yet they say that they do. They can plunge into Scripture and pull out quotes to support their viewpoint just like you.

And who are you to contradict them?

“Based on” — about like English is based on Latin and Greek. Lot of changes to make it contemporary.

Bounce it off the Bible....sorry that's right your tradition is more important. Enjoy your alliance with the libs, will give you at good look at what's coming to your org.

Clearly, it isn't self-interpreting.

'They' can say what they want, they have deserted God's Word. Now it takes a little bit of discernment to see it, but when you all take a pro-abort stance in the name of unity, you might see it. Good luck with the libs.

And who are you to contradict them?

Someone who follows Scripture. It really is that easy.

“Like Grant, Luther was a drunkard”.

And a terrible anti-semite.

It’s your “org” that’s Lutheran. Look at the present and past of your “org”.

That's a riot. Luther tossed what Scripture didn't agree with him. He put himself above the Holy Ghost.

Luther's heresies didn't bounce; that's why he made up own "bible".

You are hooking up with the pro-abort/homo/women clergy, enjoy your former ‘enduring doctrine, especially with your boy Francis at the helm.
