St. James Episcopal Church Celebrates Death in 'Bleeding Kansas'

Reverend Mother Dawn Frankfurt just finished leading her congregation of St. James Episcopal Church of Wichita, Kansas in celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus. Carols were sung, liturgies were performed and communion taken, all in the name of the miracle baby who was sent from Heaven to save the world.

The congregation was invited to contemplate and rejoice over the mysterious miracle of God incarnate, formed in Mary’s womb by the power of the Holy Spirit, giver of life. Perhaps the participants in St. James’ Christmas Eve service had warm and fuzzy feelings as they saw a customary Christmas pageant complete with the Holy Family with the baby Jesus in the manger.

But in a turn of events reminiscent of the story of King Herod, who ordered the massacre of the innocents in order to rid himself of rivals for kingship, Mother Dawn, in a matter of mere days, turned 180 degrees from celebration of the Christmas message to celebrating the killing of the unborn.

In cooperation with Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid Missouri, St. James is hosting a Chili for Choice dinner on January 22, the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision by the Supreme Court of the United States.

You, too, can go to the chili dinner to celebrate Planned Parenthood’s aborting 327,653 unborn children during the year 2014. The invitation apparently means “come one, come all.”

It is unknown if a specially written liturgy for extolling the extermination of pre-born lives along with dispensation of the body and blood of Christ via the celebration of the Holy Eucharist will be held after the celebratory consumption of chili -- would that be vegetarian chili?

But I digress.

It gets worse. I was on their facebook page. Read their comments, it’s unreal. They call US religious terrorists. I call them apostates and that is being kind.

Satan has taken over the Episcopalians. They rationalize genocide against the unborn and advocate the blasphemous notion of same-sex “marriage.” Christians they are not.

Yes, apostates would be a mild term. I suppose maybe these people are the ones He will tell, depart from me, I never knew you. Suppose?

Check out this poignant and melancholy number, Michael Card’s “Spirit of the Age.”

There’s apostates and then there are rank unbelievers.

We’re warned by our Lord that tares will appear in churches, and that they won’t all be rooted out in this life, which is also why the Lord’s paradoxical exhortation to “dead” churches to save what is living. Maybe some of the attendees still get the point of Christ. But they are going to suffocate if they keep going to that congregation. And they are also going to be a party to great evil.

I try to be very slow to condemn anyone based on externals, and to give the Lord every credit for conducting salvations through seemingly impossible situations, but we have here a very disobedient body at best, and a lot of committed pagans at worst. I truly hope the people there get the point of Christ’s transcendent care for even the least. I can’t believe that they have no history, that there is no way of pain that the Lord can bring them to grieve and repent that once brought them to this juncture.

I certainly hope some of them repent.

It is going to have to come home to those who will repent, that this is grievous. One can only speak of repenting something one has a valid reason to not want.

In order to have an effective hand in this, the patience of believers will be sorely tested. The devil is always trying to sell the quick fix, which isn’t a fix at all. The “narrative” cannot be about anything but the Lord and the babies and the killers. To get churches and labels and points of view and other miscellaneous drama caught up in it is to invite distraction. Not even the Moloch reference makes sense until the preservation of the babies is seen to be right, and this requires reviving a concept of the Lord’s love that is virtually forgotten today.

They may as well take down the Cross and replace it with a statue of Baphomet.

The ECUSA is dead, dead, dead. No wonder why decent people are leaving.

The idea of “Chili for Choice” is chilling.
