BREAKING: Pope takes major step toward formal heresy
https://harvestingthefruit.com/breaking-pope-takes-major-step-toward-formal-heresy/ ^

"I feel like saying something that may sound controversial or even heretical. But there is someone who knows that despite our differences we are one. It is he who is persecuting us. It is he that is persecuting Christians today; he who is anointing us with the blood of martyrdom, knows that Christians are disciples of Christ. That we are one, that we are brothers! He doesn't care if they are Evangelicals, Orthodox, Lutherans, Catholics or Apostolic. He doesn't care! They are Christians."

THIS is what I respect so much about you, piusv. Your honesty. It’s a breath of fresh air. Regards, smvoice

What is your point? The Lord in “lord Jesus Christ” isn’t capitalized either.

It is. It's called "Baptism by Fire and Brimstone"

If it's all the same to you, I think I will avoid that kind of baptism. 😇

Great job posting this. Real great example of the “unity” of the Church on this thread I’m sure you’re proud of that. No doubt the haters of all things Catholic will surely convert now; after all, a Catholic has posted how the Pope might start teaching heresy soon. Nothing brings the converts in like a good bit of Pope bashing to show ‘em, “hey, we don’t like the Pope that much either but come join us anyway”.

Where’s my sarc tag? Oh here it is, it’s broken; I tried to use it right now the sarcasm was too much for even it to handle.

What the LORD says about this is right there in black and white: “anyone who so much as gives someone a cup of water IN MY NAME will not lose his reward”.

This was an explicit correction of two disciples who went to Jesus expecting praise for sending away men casting out demons in His name “because they don’t follow US”

Jesus DOES NOT CARE who follows RnMomof7 or piusv. He said so Himself.

His criterion was, “do they follow me”? He rebuked his disciples for presuming to define who was and who wasn’t a Christian.

You are correct, and Jesus went even further - He gave a grave warning in the very next sentence:

Mark 9-42: “If anyone causes one of these little ones — those who believe in me — to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea."

There are a lot of "Christians" in hell saying, "you was serious about that"?

The pope is a heretic. Hopefully he’ll be replaced. He’s no longer Catholic. The longer he remains to spout his nonsense the worst off the church

we both know better than that!

Well, he didn't ascend on his own. The Cardinals PUT HIM THERE. Perhaps THEY are the heretics.

Jesus chose Judas.

So do you think the Devil is not behind ISIS’s persecution of Christians - if those Christians aren’t Roman Catholics?

if they are validly baptized, they are Catholic...

“close to family.

“close????

................

Absolutely. Scripture indicates that those who have entrusted themselves to CHRIST ALONE for their salvation and apart from their works, are true believers, part of the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ. We are family, regardless of denomination.

Those who attend any denomination, but haven’t entrusted themselves to Christ alone for eternal life are NOT part of the Body or Bride of Christ. They are close, but not saved. I hope they will be. Until they are, they are not family.

This is true on one level, and not true on another. People killed for faith in Christ, even if that faith didn’t conform to Catholic doctrine, have always been regarded as true Christian martyrs (although not for veneration by the faithful). In fact, even non-Christians who adhered to natural law have been regarded as virtuous pagans and were considered to be retroactively covered by Christ’s atonement.

Is your last statement part of catholic teaching? It's not Christian for sure.

Substantiate your last statement with the Word. I'm asking for chapter/verse.

The devil DOES care whether a Christian is Catholic or not. The protestant denominations are much less a threat to him.

Nope....Satan has ya'll praying to Mary and relying upon her for your salvation.

You're not even on the radar you're so far off with those beliefs.

I’m glad to hear you think it is nonsense that those washed by the Blood of Christ are saved regardless of their denomination. As a protestant, I actually think there are some saved RC’s. You think it is heresy that there are saved protestants. You are in for a big surprise if/when you get to heaven.

Any member of a church who has yet to come to saving faith in Christ is close to family.

Actually, the Word notes that if you are not in Christ you are an enemy. (Romans 5:10)

You're either with Christ or not.
