From a very good friend of Teresa (Arasina):
"Got the terrible news I'd been half expecting. Early this morning Teresa (arasina @Free Republic) has passed on to be with the Lord due to complications with what was an acute case of cystic fibrosis. Her lungs simply would not respond. Even with her oxygen machine she could not quite get enough oxygen. All that could be done at that point was sedation. On Saturday I'd called but she immediately said she couldn't speak. Yesterday I regrettably didn't reach out...and this AM Teresa's niece left the message of the bad news. The only solace I have is that I know she is with the Lord. I prayed for mercy and relief, and He fulfilled that request.
Red -- if you could -- please post Teresa's FR obit. She was 63, a native of Indianapolis, a Christian woman of good cheer, loved people, FR, all that was good and right. Most importantly, she loves Jesus and believed in the Gospel with all her heart.
Thank you, brutha,
Jim"
There is beauty both in sunrise and sunset, sing of it, and glorify the Lord. Like the nightingale, pour forth thy notes at all hours. Believe that the night is as useful as the day. The dews of grace fall heavily in the night of sorrow. The stars of promise shine forth gloriously amid the darkness of grief. Continue thy service under all changes. If in the day thy watchword be labour, at night exchange it for watch. Every hour has its duty, do thou continue in thy calling as the Lord's servant until He shall suddenly appear in His glory. My soul, thine evening of old age and death is drawing near, dread it not, for it is part of the day; and the Lord has said, "I will cover him all the day long." Charles H. Spurgeon
Prayers for her family, surviving spouse, children and grandchildren.
Prayers up. We lost a good FReeper, but we will meet again.
Prayers up!
Thank you for pinging me.
RIP, dear *Arasina.
Eternal rest grant unto Thy servant Teresa, Dear Lord, and let Thy perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the Faithful Departed, through the infinite Mercy of Almighty God, rest in peace forever. Amen.
May her soul be bound in the bonds of eternity, and may it be His will to comfort those left behind.

prayers for Arasina
So many have responded and I thank you all. So does Jim the friend who asked I post this here.
God Bless you all.
Thank you.
Sad news.
But in a sense good news too—people with CF didn’t used to have a chance to live even this long.
Prayers up for her family and family. . .
Prayers.
May you enjoy the peace of Heaven!
I will do so.
Very sad to hear of this.
RIP Teresa.
Oh so sorry!!
When I was pregnant with my daughter back in the 90s, there was a researcher at the hospital I went to that was studying CF - she was testing pregnant women’s DNA for the CF marker. I was told I was in the “highest risk group” for carriers - Northern European.
Fortunately, I didn’t have the CF marker.
With that said, I will pray for Teresa and ALL CF sufferers, and Thank God there is some treatment now that can make life easier for them.
