thanks for the link, but the very passage he uses to prove the rapture actually disproves it.

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,4 that lwe who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. (HERE IS THE PROOF THERE IS NO RAPTURE) And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.” \9 THIS IS WHEN THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE UP THEN THOSE WHO ARE LEFT. THIS IS THE LAST TRUMPET, AM I CORRECT

There is one VERY INTRIGIUNG lien of thought regarding the Seven Year Covenant - IT DOESN’T SPECIFY ISRAEL.

One school of thought says the covenant is between not the Antichrist and Israel, but rather between Russia and Persia - and the Antichrist will come from Persia, not Europe.

I found that worthy of further study...

Indeed, some of us may have to die for our faith and we gladly accept this. However God always rescues his people. He has not appointed us to wrath (1 Thes 5). He is not going to punish his bride for being faithful. Jesus said the end of the world will be like the days of Sodom and Noah. In both cases there was a rapture, or rescue, or "catching out" of His people. Those 250 girls died bravely and are with Christ Jesus now. But serving Jesus is fairly easy when bullets are flying, or heads are getting lopped off. What about serving Jesus in land of plenty? Pretty hard when you have everything you need. Here are examples of rapture in the Bible...

1. Noah and his family
2. Lot and his family
3. Families in Israel that fled to Jerusalem with Assyria invaded
4. Families that went to Babylon upon listening to Jeremiah
5. Christians in Jerusalem in 70ad who fled to Pella
6. Many others...

hi mountain bunny (love the name :))...If I may jump in here; it matters a great deal because if you are not PREPARED you will be in a much more likely situation of taking the mark. The mark is to allow you to eat, live, etc. If you’re prepared, in theory, you escape their system of control.

The end times matter a great deal and we better all believe we’re going to live through it and not magically removed prior to it all breaking loose. We will be here.

nomad...accepting Christ means there’s no room for any other spirit. Christians sin all the time, yes, even have murdered. Look at Paul (Saul), or David and yet both were much loved by God.

Sinning doesn’t make you lose your salvation.

But a timeline, please?

I saw no mention that this will happen before any time of tribulations. It seems to imply, by the statements themselves and known timeline, that this will be at the end of the world, judgement day.

So people will just shrug it all off as a figment of their imaginations and go on with the years of tribulation?

They`ll knowingly accept the mark of the beast even though they just witnessed the supernatural event of all events? Christ, the resurrected savior himself, come down from heaven, raise the dead, then with angels singing praises and blowing horns, ascend into heaven with all the saved?

And the left behind people will not know, if they want any hope in hell, no pun intended, of being forgiven and having a second chance, they`d better rally in god`s named and stomp this Illuminati creep into a bloody mud puddle?

I know the sheeple are S-T-U-P-I-D but REALLY? COME ON, MAN!

The verses adduced to support the notion of a “rapture” describe the experience of Christians alive on the day of the general resurrection also known as the Last Day or Judgement Day. This was the uniform view of Christians East and West including all of the protestant confessions that arose during the Reformation.

The notion of a “rapture” as an event preceding the tribulation prophesied in the Apocalypse of St. John (a.k.a. Revelations) is a 19th century innovation, and sentimental heresy. The glory of the Church in the Last Days will be as the glory of the Church in its beginning: martyrdom for Christ’s sake.

I rather think the Greek Fathers who read the Gospels and the writings of the Apostles in the original language, in the framework of the same culture in which Our Lord’s earthly ministry took place, including many who suffered persecution for Christ’s sake, have dibs on getting the meaning right when compared with 19th century readers in the comfort of American religious toleration, mostly approaching the text in translation. To a man, they read the text on this matter as I described it in my first sentence.

You very seldom see such an apparent display of protestant ignorance of the Bible and misinterpretation of scripture...this is really eye opening.

Part of what is going to make the tribulation so horrible (if we are here) is our false Christian brothers teaching Christians to go ahead and take the mark of the beast. Here are 3 well known so-called Christian leaders telling people that they can take the "mark of the beast" and still be saved. These men are from hell...

1. John Macarthur
2. Jimmy Deyoung
3. Brannon Howse

Good luck with that brilliant theory.

I disagree. Daniel 9 is about the last 7 years of the Jewish people and what is going to happen to them. This is the covenant with death spoken of in Isaiah 28 Arguably, the best book to read on this subject is “Footsteps of the Messiah” by Arnold Fructenbaum. A Hebrew and Greek speaking Bible Scholar.

The supernatural event will be when satan is kicked out of heaven onto earth and most will fall for the lie that he is the Christ. That is indeed where most will receive the mark of the beast IN their head. You will believe it unless you follow God's word.

Hal Lindsy is selling books and that is all. The Tribulation is a 1800 teaching and was never part of the first century church. Nice story but a load of B.S. on it’s best day.

You’re misunderstanding what it means to ‘accept’ Christ. It means to die to self and allow Him to govern your life.

This is not about works; this is about Grace. We are His elect, we didn’t elect Him. When we accept him as our Lord and Savior we are called to obey. That doesn’t mean we don’t sin but we surely do not lose our salvation.

1. The Scriptures teach that the rapture is the next big event to happen and can happen any day and moment as all necessary prophecy has been fulfilled to bring it in, even since the Lord Jesus Christ went into the heavenlies to sit at the right hand of God the Father, who is making all His enemies His footstool. The 7 year tribulation of God indignation will follow the rapture as will the appearance of the anti Christ on the earth at these times. The anti Christ will sign a peace agreement with Israel for a 7 year period of time, this is the actual beginning of the tribulation period which will begin the 21 judgments of the wrath of God on all who refuse His only begotten Son Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. The apostle Paul is the only one given the specific information concerning the “translation” of the saints in at least three different epistles he wrote and the early body of Christ knew and belived on the translation of the saints and the coming of the anti Christ as Paul was a voracious teacher and a prophet of God like the other prophets of God, all in the Holy Scripture. The church today is not all the church but rather a large amount of apostate cult groups who all deny one thing, the Scriptures are the word of God and are the only authority that must guide the church. All groups of professing Christians who deny the immutable Word of God as the Word of God have drifted into heretical and apostate cults over the 2000 years since Jesus Christ ascended and that is a shame. Doctrine unites, love is necessary but can not substitute or change the meaning and importance of Gods Word as infallible. His Word is the same always and forever as He states throughout His Holy Scripture. And no man can change His Word without damning his soul to hell.
2. When the Church, the Body of Christ is taken up, the antichrist will appear and sign a seven year treaty with Israel and sudden destruction on all mankind will begin. The antichrist will be admired by the world but hated by God and will begin the evil work he is destined to perform, including causing all mankind to receive a mark in their forehead or on their hand without which they will not be able to buy or sell any merchandise in the coming world government, and all who do receive it will be condemned to a hell they do not believe exists, but does indeed exist as the Word of God teaches. And the shame is, they could have been saved from their sin simply by accepting the fact of how God the Father sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to the earth to be a sin sacrifice for all who would believe and confess how that Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins and rose again the third day to everlasting life and glory being made the 2nd Adam, overcoming death and hell and the grave and him that has the power of death since Adam fell, that is, the devil , even Satan, the deceiver of nations and the first liar and father of murderers.
