Is 7-year biblical 'Tribulation' about to start? (Shemitah, blood moons and signs)
WND ^ | 9/10/2015

Posted on 09/13/2015 7:37:14 AM PDT by UnwashedPeasant

Millions of investors concerned about the Shemitah cycle are watching stock markets and economies in these dark days of September.

Will the Dow crash, they wonder, like it did in the past two Shemitah years, 2001 and 2008, or will the dollar collapse and take the U.S. economy down with it?

Not Mark Biltz.

The founder and pastor of El Shaddai Ministries is watching for something much bigger.

The start of the Tribulation.

Biltz, author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs,” is not predicting that the Tribulation will start with the beginning of a new seven-year cycle at sundown on Sunday, Sept. 13. But if it doesn’t start, then he says it likely won’t for at least another seven years.

That’s because God operates according to seasons that follow the biblical Old Testament feast days, he said.

“The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is trying to get the attention of the entire world, and His people in particular, of the need to get on His calendar cycle.

One of the ways He does that is through signs in the heavens, including lunar and solar eclipses, which of course have to do with calendars. A total lunar eclipse or “blood moon” occurs on Sept. 28, which is the Feast of Tabernacles. It’s the last of four blood moons, all falling on Jewish feast days, over the past 18 months, a rare “tetrad” of lunar eclipses.

And it’s not like one has to search very long for signs that the Tribulation could be about to commence. Read here how Christians are being slaughtered across the world while the historically Christian nations of Europe and America ignore their cries, jumping instead to take in Muslim migrants and thousands of potential jihadist enemies.

But then again, God’s prophets never did win popularity contests.

Amen.

The liberal and the prosperity gospel preachers like Rob Bell and Joel Olsteen have large followings, but lots of folks who reject the real Christ seem to want to hear that God wants you to be rich, happy, and beautiful - and there is no real thing such as "sin" anyway.

I’m sure that if God wanted us all to be rich, happy, and beautiful, He could have found an easier way to do it than to die for us.

For those followers of *Your Best Life Now*, yes, it IS their best life now.

Sad to say.....

Who is the Bride of Christ? ... When you find the answer to that, know that God The Father will not put the Bride of Christ through God's wrath poured out upon the unbelieving world. Christians have been persecuted from the very beginning. That is persecution from man.

The generation that will reeive the wrath of God will deserve it due to the persecution they inflict upon the church. Great persecution of the church is coming to America. When that happens, the average Christian will either be poor, unemployed, or fall away. They won't be influencial. They won't be missed when the rapture occurs.

I, as with others here and throughout the world as Christians, have and do very much study Gods Word....and I might also add study teachings which are presented as so but are not. So as I mentioned perhaps these teachings have nothing to do with Christianity and why they are not being taught in the churches.

Generally speaking anytime seemingly astro, and signs teachings present themselves as something other Christians don’t know, or are ignorant of, it’s a pretty good indication somethings amiss. Additionally often times the New Agers get into this stuff as well as environmentalists, Kabbalists etc because it plays into their field of play.

The Feasts of Trumpets was also used during the Y2K when people ended up wearing egg on the face because they ran ahead of any true fulfillment. Same with 9/11.

If you think that the Church must go through the Great Tribulation, then you’re taking away from the immanency of the return of Jesus Christ, the very reason He told us to watch. We’d would instead be watching for the Great Tribulation and the unveiling of the Antichrist and not Jesus’ return...as he instructed us to...just in case you think otherwise.

Absolutely unbelievable!!!!

Excellent speech/sermon...

Toward the end, the preacher talks in tongues (without an interpreter) so I assume he is somehow affiliated with the Pentecostal church...

Pentecostal preachers are notorious for taking OT prophecies for Israel and applying them to the church...

We are being told to learn about the feasts and other OT going ons to better understand the New Testament...That's not what God intended for his church...

Modern day Jews who follow the OT know about these things...They've been studying them for 2000 years...God never told his church to learn or observe those things of the OT...

The Jews walk by sight...We walk by faith...The Jews require a sign...We don't require any signs to know what's going on...The signs are for the Jews...

1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

It was at about the 35:30 mark in the message where he speaks in a different language, in the event that there’s anyone who knows Hebrew and can maybe identify it.

Did you read The Harbinger?

In it, he doesn’t really come out and say that America is Israel, but does state that the founders of this country founded it on a commitment to God and makes the generalization that if a nation does that, makes that kind of commitment to God, then there are consequences for breaking that.

His clear and unequivocal call for repentance and putting your faith in Christ for salvation are what gives him the most credibility to me. He’s working with a double handicap being a Messianic Jew.

Did you read The Harbinger?

No...Sounds like a fascinating book...

In it, he doesn’t really come out and say that America is Israel, but does state that the founders of this country founded it on a commitment to God and makes the generalization that if a nation does that, makes that kind of commitment to God, then there are consequences for breaking that.

There's no doubt in my mind that God raised up the founders of our great Nation to put together the greatest Nation on Earth, to be the Nation of God on Earth...I see the turning of the Nation against God as a signal that the end times are at the door...Interestingly it is only (mostly) mostly born again Christians who see this...

There are many prophecies in the OT that give a warning with signs in today's world ...That I missed these prophecies is no surprise to me since there's a lot in the OT that goes right by me...I have no doubt that there are many unknown prophecies that not only will not be fulfilled but not even known of til after the Rapture of the Church...

My thoughts are that the signs this preacher talks about are for the Jews...They know of the prophecies...They would recognize the signs...I wonder if the author of the 'Harbinger' is a Jew...We Christians don't need those signs while yet it may strengthen our faith to learn of them...

His clear and unequivocal call for repentance and putting your faith in Christ for salvation are what gives him the most credibility to me.

I don't disagree with that...

He’s working with a double handicap being a Messianic Jew.

Ain't that the truth...

You should get a copy of the book. It fleshes out a lot of what he stated in his address. He just touched some of the highlights of the book.

It’s beyond coincidence, the things that he pulls together about 9/11 and that verse from Isaiah, and the history of the founding of this country.

“perhaps these teachings have nothing to do with Christianity and why they are not being taught in the churches.”

First, we need to clarify what teachings are referenced here. My point is that Christ will return on the feast of trumpets. Today is the feast of trumpets for 2015, and few Christians are even aware of this. This is tragic.

Christians should always watch, pray, and be ready for the Lord’s return. They should also wait patiently and endure the tribulation that all believers endure in this world. We are looking forward to the blessed hope of His return.

“teachings present themselves as something other Christians don’t know, or are ignorant of, it’s a pretty good indication somethings amiss”

In this case what is amiss is Christians are ignorant. Paul wrote repeatedly to believers and said he did not want them to be ignorant. Unfortunately Christians can be ignorant, and they often are, as is the case with the return of the Lord.

“The Feasts of Trumpets was also used during the Y2K when people ended up wearing egg on the face because they ran ahead of any true fulfillment. Same with 9/11.”

You can say the same about the rapture. Do false teachers predicting erroneous things about the return of the Lord diminish the reality of His return?

“If you think that the Church must go through the Great Tribulation, then you’re taking away from the immanency of the return of Jesus Christ, the very reason He told us to watch.”

It is clear that He told us to watch. The man-made doctrine of “immanency” is neither explicitly taught in scripture nor is it consistent with other doctrines related to Christ’s return which are explicitly taught. However, I will state unequivocally that the certainty and sudden, unexpected (by those not watching) return of Christ is taught, as well as the command to always watch. But neither of these amount to the “immanency” doctrine which adds to scripture the idea that His return can be at any moment rather than according to times and seasons and following specific signs as is clearly taught by scripture. If Paul or Peter or any other apostle were here to correct this error, they would teach nothing else. And in fact they are with us by way of their writings which will support this position to those willing to listen.

“We’d would instead be watching for the Great Tribulation and the unveiling of the Antichrist and not Jesus’ return”

We watch expectantly for the return of the Lord which is our blessed hope. Warnings of tribulations, persecution, and signs do not preclude watching for His return but rather support it.

Hebrews 10:25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

How do we see the Day approaching?

Luke 21:28
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

What things begin to happen?

Acts 1:11
[Angels] also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Why was it inappropriate to be watching and looking up then but later the instruction is to look up and watch?

What Biblical basis is there for teaching Christ can return at any moment? At what point did it become possible for Him to return at any moment? (That is, at what point were all prerequisite prophecies fulfilled so that nothing else needed to happen before His return?)

The Lord taught that His return will be immanent following six specific signs. It will happen on a feast of trumpets day as He and the apostles taught. Paying attention to the signs IS part of what it means to watch. Those who do not watch will not be ready because His return will take them by surprise.

The signs are in Mathew, Mark, Luke, and Revelation:
1) Deception, False Christs, False Peace
2) War and rumors of war
3) Famine
4) Disease, troubles and natural disasters
5) “Tribulation”, persecution and martyrdom of the saints
6) Signs in the heavens

After these things, the Lord will return, and the Day of the Lord will commence.

(((....” My point is that Christ will return on the feast of trumpets. Today is the feast of trumpets for 2015, and few Christians are even aware of this. This is tragic.”...)))

The Biblical principle is that God will not judge the righteous with the unrighteous.

In 1 Thess.5:4 Paul writes that the Church is removed before the day of darkness so that the Day of the Lord will not overtake them like a thief in the night. Since it initiates the judgment, God will remove the Church from the darkness not keep them through it.

The Thessalonians already had an understanding concerning the future Day of the Lord BEFORE Paul wrote 1 Thessalonians to them (v. 2),... but they were ignorant concerning the Rapture of the Church before receiving this letter (4:13-18)..... This indicates that the Rapture was NOT part of the subject of the Day of the Lord and therefore will be a different event from the Day of the Lord.

Additionally....After Paul left Thessalonica some false teachers came in teaching a post-tribulational doctrine and stated that believers were now in the tribulation. That the day of God’s wrath was upon them, that they had missed the rapture, but Paul corrects this with the 2nd letter. If this were true certain signs would be present......... The Thessalonians Mistook their persecution as a sign of the tribulation, something we still make the mistake of doing today.

Obviously Paul had taught the Thessalonians that the Rapture came first. Because if the day of the Lord had come they would be “shaken and troubled” this would come from either they being left behind or they misunderstood Paul...... Instead they would have welcomed the Great Tribulation as a necessary component prior to the second coming. We can only conclude from this that Paul had taught a pre-tribulation rapture.

The tribulation we as Christians are currently experience comes from a fallen world under the governing of Satan. The Tribulation that is coming is a test on the whole world at the end of the age, that will come from God’s hand against sin.

Further...Not one Old Testament passage on the tribulation refers to the church ....(Deut. 4:29-30; Jer. 30:4-11; Dan. 8:24-27; 12:1-2),..... the New Testament never speaks of the church in relation to the tribulation ONLY Israel. ......This is why it is stated they keep the commandments and the testimony of Jesus . .....Ref:....Rev 12:17 “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring (Israel), who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” ....(Matt. 13:30, 39-42, 48-50; 24:15-31; Rev. 4-18)......... Those ‘Jew’s saved in the tribulation’ will be ‘Torah observant JEWS’ that came to the knowledge of Christ being the messiah.

However there is a Church mentioned that does go through the tribulation. In Revelation 3:14-22 Jesus addresses the church in Laodicea. This church is rejected by the Lord and vomited out of His mouth because of their luke-warmness. This church goes into the entire 70th week because they think they are rich and have need of nothing, not even the Lord. The Laodicean church is not the true church but one that does not possess a true profession of faith. They are rejected by the Lord, and vomited out into the seventieth week. Yet the Lord calls individuals out of her.

They are off by a day MHGinTN. Tomorrow is really the 1st Day of the 7th month, if we keep the same standard of how to determine a New Moon (with Revelation 12 as the key I used as I believe it all points first to Him)

They will observe it(they do 2 days) but, they will be off by a day when they observe Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and start their Feast of Tabernacles a day early too(so it will end a day early)

And it is just blindness rabbinic Judaism has to the Way, Truth and Life. And the willingness to accept the world’s premise, in part.

Is being off by a day a big deal?
They don’t believe they are. But they also have postponement rules that do this in certain years on purpose, so that those appointed Days don’t conflict with ‘saturday’. No expert in Torah would find those rules in there..

If they understood His Calendar, they would see no postponements are needed.. Only when mixing calendars, does it cause conflicts or being off by a day or two..

Thief in the night comes to mind. If people are observing and watching on the wrong day or night, they may be sleeping when He comes.
