I think you need to study your organizations history without those rose colored glasses and ask yourself why would that be.If this were to happen; I'd think Thomas Monson might explain to HIS religion's members why the Ruling Class; high atop SLC; has NOT heard from GOD about why the INSPIRED VERSION has not been considered to be SCRIPTURE yet.

That's what the Book indicates:
41 A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more? 43 Simon answered, The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt. And he said to him, You have judged rightly.

And there is one holy catholic apostolic church... And Rome claims to be the ONLY legitimate source of all of GOD's favors.

Sometimes we forget that people are more important than things.Sadly; this is true.

5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. BEFORE Babel!

Acts 16:3
Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

The Catholic church taught me the same way about the Bible.
Don’t read it myself because I can’t understand it.
It’s the job of someone trained in theology to read it for me and tell me what is says.

Yep. You know, I am just waiting for some dude to come along and tell me that he doesn't interpret the Bible. He just reads it and telks me what it means. I suspect there is someone out there, who might actually believe that.

I suppose a lot of Catholics can’t understand anyone coming away from Catholicism
There are many Catholics who have seen their own children go away from the church, some to no religion at all. Three of my kids don’t go to church at all. I thank God for the one who is devoted to Jesus in a Calvin based Christian Church.

Five of mine reared in church, One of them a step child I met at his 7 years old, me and mom both born again and married, the remaining four from their first day safely from the womb
All professed Christ and served in Junior church, Kings Kids (kind of AWANA) and never complained about going to church
A lot of youth activities to help with the "socialization" queries ... my kids all had many Christian friends
None go to church now .... good kids .. moms and dads, but no Jesus

My son admitted to me recently, that he is now agnostic. I was not a happy camper about that.

IF mine are saved, (and I want to believe them and their testimonies from years ago ... ), then they are in Dad’s hands and I know for a fact ... when Dad reaches the end of his rope, He can make you wish you had said “Yes, Sir” from the beginning

We never had a Bible in our house nor did I ever see one in the Catholic school I attended for almost five years. I have no idea about your home but I can guarantee that there were Bibles in your school. It's no wonder that you misinterpret the Bible now, you rely on your own ability to decipher what authors of a book partially written by Jewish scholars and added to by Christian scholars thousands of years ago when you've studied it for a few years of your adult life. Why don't you listen to people who have devoted their lives to bring you their best and spiritually guided interpretation of God's word? One usually doesn't read through an encyclopedia and decide that they are an expert on everything.

I would say that the Lutheran Church (LCMS) mirrors the early church every bit as much as the Catholic Church does. I'd have to agree. Yeah, but the Catholic church was THERE and the Lutheran adaption of Catholicism came along about 1,600 years later...

Catholicism IS Christianity, fully and completely. With a LOT of other, unneeded, stuff tossed in. That would certainly be your opinion.....and you know about opinions...........enough said.

Really? My impression is the opposite. Protestantism -- at least as represented on these threads -- looks like little kids playing house. They mimic the grown-ups without grasping the reality they mimic. Like 10-year olds, they're given to schoolyard taunts, they're literal minded (when it suits them), they have a flat, one-dimensional, linear view of reality, they ridicule what they don't understand, and resist anything that doesn't fit their childish perceptions. THAT'S A BRILLIANT AND ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF PROTESTANTISM.
