Catholic ping!
The Pope can’t be Lucifer.
That position is now being filled by Ted Cruz.
We have this on good authority, from John Boehner, no less.
But:
Jesus, Matthew 10: 34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

So this one is confusing, because Christ addressed it directly - but Catherine of Siena is a Saint. So how to decide and interpret properly? What is the Catholic teaching on the declarations of Saints?
Catholic question here.
This Pope doesn't have the personality for a personality cult.
How would this not be seen as surrender to evil?
Thanks for posting this. I always thought the Catherine of Sienna and the rest of the transubstantiation cult was a little off, and now I'm sure of it.
On the contrary, our Lord's brother said:
Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
Who are you going to believe? Her, or James?
And here is St. Paul in 1 Corinthians 5:
[9] I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people [10] not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. [11] But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
Again, who are you going to believe? Her, or Paul?
If the Pope is a sinful man, true Christians should not associate him, and should encourage him to repent. This present Pope should repent.
A bad pope is not the same as a heretical “pope”.
THe Satanists are already upset about Boehner comparing Cruz to Satan, and now this...
Catholicism has such a glorious ebb and flow to it. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be. Amen.
I figure anything going on with the Pope is in the Holy Spirit’s job description and since I definitely do not try and tell the Holy Spirit what to do, I just stay in the trenches and be a “mule” for my parish. Move heavy objects, try and teach catechism to teens, help with service projects, stuff like that. Other than that, a daily “Jesus, I trust in You” and Rosary keeps me somewhat sane between Sunday Mass. :)
“even if the priests, the pastors, and Christ-on-earth were incarnate devils, we be obedient and subject to them”
That’s ridiculous, prima facie absurd, and is akin to saying black is white or some other inherent contradiction.
since Catherine of Sienna told off the corrupt pope for living it up in France and told him to get his bottom back to Rome, I think the good father is quoting her out of context.
The problem is not the pope’s letter/report per se (lots of it is good). It is a footnote that is the problem, which may have been slipped into the report.
And shame on the Pope for not correcting the impression that is being pushed by the MSM.
Myself, I agree with Confucius: Marriage and family are duties. Love follows if you are lucky.
All the talk of “love” and “compassion” are nothing more than letting sociopaths get away with their own selfish desires.
Well I agree with St Catherine of course. My motto don’t read anybody who is not over 100 years old and a Saint.Jesus hungers for Souls.Do the First Friday devotions and you will feel it.Most Souls are simple and their prayers are simple.Shame on the elitist who pull these Souls down to question their Faith and is some cases to leave the church.Listen to the Saints.
