The pastor of a central New York church where two brothers were beaten during a 14-hour "counseling session" pleaded guilty Friday to manslaughter and assault.

Three other members of the Word of Life Christian Church in New Hartford agreed to less serious charges for their roles in the beatings that killed Lucas Leonard, 19, and injured his 17-year-old brother Christopher.

Pastor Tiffanie Irwin, her brother Joseph Irwin and mother-and-son church members Linda and David Morey are the last of nine people to be convicted in the brutal attack that investigators say took place after the victims discussed leaving the congregation.

And the EXACT point of posting this what?

We all know that there are charlatans out there in every shape ,size, and form.
You must have something more constructive to do on a Saturday night than try to drive people away from Christ.

A few churches out there do not like competition, but this is nothing compared to what happens regularly in Islam. Every other woman with a hijab is an abused woman who could not fet out of that cult unscathed

Actually, it’s the actions of the charlatans that are helping to drive people away from Christ.

I won’t call them charlatans. They sound like a budding death cult and we’re all lucky that they were stopped at one victim.

“Actually, it’s the actions of the charlatans that are helping to drive people away from Christ.”

We will see more of them too

Because housecleaning does not mean sweeping it under the rug and hoping it will go away. There is more where these monsters came from.

Wonder if they knew they were a death cult.

Yes, hopefully the tares will be exposed before the harvest, sparing the destruction of too many more souls.

Reminds me of the horror film ‘Silent Hill’: a wacko woman pastor with a congregation of sadistic thugs.
Ravening wolves.

LOL, oh well.

The Bible is very clear that women are not to be pastors. When women defy that and try to be anywise, then they are going directly contrary to God’s Word. It’s no surprise that all manner of wickedness and folly would proceed from that.

>>>>Warning to all Christians involved with Word of Life groups. <<<<<<

And just who are you, Bramps, the posting police? Why censor thought & discourse to protect the evil? This is a warning to Christians involved with these faux cults of god.

I’m really glad that I read this. My neighbors kids (3rd & 6th grade) are supposed to attend a WORD off LIFE FL camp for this upcoming spring break. And now I have just forwarded this article to her.

I have been to the graduation ceremony of an extended family member from the WoL facility in NY; that graduate has been a pastor (of sorts) in NY since 1980. There was a weird cultish feel about that place.

This article may explain why this WoL graduate is such a self-serving lazy arrogant person that you would never guess to be a pastor, except for his title.
