Well, he’s dead, so I can’t ask him how many masses it takes to get eternal life. One, two, fifty, ??
The Lord died once, so once should be enough, if the mass is indeed taken for eternal life.
“Well, hes dead, so I cant ask him how many masses it takes to get eternal life. One, two, fifty, ??”
You can ask him. You probably won’t get an answer you can hear.
“The Lord died once, so once should be enough, if the mass is indeed taken for eternal life.”
Once would be enough - if you could assume that the one-to-one ratio was between what God gave and only what YOU (only one person) needs in the sight of God. God makes the decision and it can vary for anyone how much of His Son’s grace they need.
