In past there have been ‘religions’ so devoted to chastity that they refused to mate, and so died out. Others where males were castrated. Again, no longer very popular after a time.

While the Democrats have seemingly adopted the Seven Deadly Sins, extended version, as their platform, most of their fractions just focus on one or two at a time. To do otherwise is so exhausting and debilitating that few of them have the strength to go whole hog.

But paganism for them is pretty unavoidable, be it an adherence to Moloch-Baal, Mammon, Dionysus, etc. Outright Satanism is more a manifestation of their utter, burning hatred of Christianity, to the point where the manifestations and symbols of Christians are causing them physical pain, a “vampire effect”, like Dracula cringing before the cross.

In practical terms, Satanism becomes an expression of self hatred and self destruction, preferred by those who are sickened by their reflection in a mirror. Whether self destruction by excess, or a more direct approach, doesn’t really matter, I suppose.
