Catholics are still mad about the Wittenburg Castle Church door.

What's the matter? Do fear Bergoglio is stealing Luther's heretical thunder?

After 500 years give the door thing a rest. I’m sure some wood putty daubed in and it will hardly be noticeable.

{ Shrug }

Are you not aware that when Luther farted all the angels danced in Heaven?

I view him as a drunk whose anti-Semitic rantings were, for some reason, excluded from the curriculum of "Lutheran" schools here in the USA.

And I view it as an ironically significant ERROR to ICONify Luther into representing celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation - when there are much more appropriate images that could be evoked....

...instead of worshiping Luther, the Icon.

It WAS Christ, after all, who freed us - Not the Marty Party!

Terrible article, albeit not as bad as some I’ve seen. But when it starts with “Luther’s rebellion” it begins with the poisoning the well fallacy and goes down hill from there.

Psycho historical pap. Even the cherry picked talking point, though not as bad as I have seen before, was still insufficiently researched.

If you want to argue against Luther, one would do a better job to study what he wrote rather than regurgitate claims that can be disproven with the simplest glance through the Small Catechism.

Whoever the people were who commissioned, constructed, and installed that hideous “art” should be chastised severely.

Catholics sure are obsessed with Luther.

He lives rent free in their heads 24/7.

The rest of us don’t care.

I know right?

Malta legalized sodomite marriage. Cocaine fueled orgies among the hierarchy. Muslim terror attacks funded with money paid by the Vatican.

And for some reason, Dr. Luther, who spoke out against very similar things in his time, is still teh debbil.

One would think that they would want to clean their own house first.

"We Lutherans are more catholic than Catholic"

Seeing who can wear the biggest crucifix in Saint LouISIS appears to be quite fashionable these days.

It's not clear if they're getting them from the Vestigial Roman Plumage section of the Synod gift shop - or the boat anchor section of...

Luther’s curse on the teachings of Christ has sent many souls to Gehenna

Prove it.
