There is a building in Jerusalem called "The Dome of the Rock". Its walls are covered with quotations from the Koran. But many of these quotations cannot be found in today's Koran: they were put there before the Caliph Othman created the "definitive" version. Proof in stone that the Koran is not immutable.

Moslems will also tell you that the Koran is the most beautiful Arabic ever. It isn't. It's piss-poor Arabic, with a good deal of bad grammar and many Syriac loan words. In other words, the work of a semi-literate merchant, not of a divine being.

The stated goals of the Muslim Brotherhood are as follows...

...Inform the world about Islam and spread its teachings
...Unify the world under the banner of Islam
...Raise the standard of living and achieve social justice
...Fight disease, poverty, ignorance and hunger
...Liberate the Ummah (Islamic nation) from foreign rule
...Establish a worldwide Islamic state (caliphate)....................(all of their actions are undertaken in this context of these two focused goals)
...Build a New World Order (civilization) based on sharia and Islam. ...
....it considers itself to be an Islamic revivalist movement that aims at rejuvenating staid and archaic forms of Islam
....they see no difference between religion and politics....there is only Islam.. the only legitimate way of life....shariah the only law.
....the originators of the idea one should love death and crave a martyrs end... the often epeated slogan of Brotherhood affiliate Hamas, “We love death more than you love life.”
...they regard America as “The Great Satan”...”Israel the Little Satan”
...they have historically often allied with Communism to fight Western forces in the M.E...
( Side note:The Muslim Brotherhood supported Hitler during the war, with members acting as spies and fighters against the British....The Nazis provided the Brotherhood with a printing press which they used to disseminate Arabic translations of Hitler’s ein Kampf and the notorious, and the Semitic Protocols of the Elders ofZion)

The Islamic definition of much of the terminology in that list of goals does not match Western cultures understanding of the same terminology.

But I believe caww and I have similar understandings of Islam in general.

That’s because muslims view terminology through the lens of Islam....Western culture has yet to understand ‘their’ meanings and few who care to learn them. Especially politicians and those in authority.
