Lamenting about others unknown does NOTHING

We fly an “Appeal to Heaven” flag on days that prayer for our country seems especially called for.

And that’s exactly what it is. A battle for the souls of men.
That should be our primary focus in prayer, that the Holy Spirit would move and get the church back on track and draw unbelievers to Christ and salvation.
1Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

6He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday.

Nobody is lamenting.
We’re taking action and engaging in spiritual warfare.
I DO care about the eternal fate of others, so yes, I am going to intercede for them.

Prayer for our nation is so much more than "lamenting over others." It is a positive, joyful expression of faith in God's power to heal seemingly impossible situations, gratitude for the things He has provided to us, acknowledgment of the perversions of moral law we have allowed to creep in and destroy lives, repentance for the things we have done and left undone that contribute to disorder beyond our own lives, and importantly, it is a way to receive God's comfort and assurance of forgiveness.
Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

The prayer helped in FL as far as I can see and mr. mm and I have been seeing some astounding answers to prayer in our family.
