There is in fact no religion in which abortion is condoned or encouraged. (Scientology, that routinely forces abortion on its members, is not a religion.)

However, a whole lot of nice religious people - Xtian and other - are naive or otherwise easily turned. They will not stand up to the Left because they are afraid of being “mean” or “intolerant.”

Abortion is considered to be a “rite of passage” to the new wokeism, the adoption of the “new way” of thinking that is supposed to control population, according to the “survival of the fittest” theories of Charles Darwin and Thomas Malthus.

In the '90s our local newspaper comments had some great debates. It was well moderated so trolls and screamers were quickly deleted. Finally one could actually talk with the left. They would often challenge pro-life with "What exactly is it in your CHRISTIAN religion that is against abortion?"

I would explain: Psalm 139:13 says "For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb," which I understand in the pro-life context as Biblical confirmation of a real baby in the womb. But anyone from any religion or no religion can independently verify that information with 4D ultrasound. You don't need the Christian religion to understand that.

Also, Exodus 20:13 says "You shall not murder." However, most religions and people of no religion believe that murder is wrong independently of the Christian religion.

So 1. It's a baby. 2. Don't kill it" is something Christians believe in but most non-Christians also believe the same thing.
