Codie, how would I know if you are or are not? Sure I know some things about the Catholic faith, having gone to school in the Diocese of Cleveland at St. Joseph's for 5 years.

Then you know the fundamental teachings of the Church, which I subscribe to 100%.

I saw you coming from 20 miles away. It's hard to bait me, and, I don't prove negatives.

Maybe you don't prove negatives. However, you do prove your slightly paranoid. ;)

Please excuse me now.I have to cram for a test.

Have the Methodists given their blessing to smoking dope? FYI, there are times that nobody answers your questions due to the fact that your questions are so inane, and show a complete lack of understanding and critical thinking. Please don’t mistake this refusal to answer stupid questions as a “decimation” of one’s position.

compare your own 40 with my 39, and you'll see what I mean.

I won't demean you, though. You are my brother in Christ. The Lord will decide between us.

You still don’t understand, do you?

You have only “decimated” in your own mind. Your gang haven’t been able to mount a credible defence of what you believe for weeks, if not months, now, and you claim victory. Honestly, it has been difficult to maintain any interest in these threads due to the fact that there hasn’t been much of a challenge lately.

It is all pretty bizzare.

Codie you need to consider that question..you might die tonight and have the King of Kings asking you that ..He will not let you slip out for a test

Then you might as well move on. Some are interested in more than a challenging debate.

Your premise of God's will is wrong. God wills their salvation but has also willed that they themselves choose. He will not force them to believe in Him. They must choose.

You have already told me that this verse teaching that it is God's will that all men are saved. Now it is God's will that all are saved or is it God's will that all men choose? You can't have it both ways.

Nevertheless,....

God wills their salvation....

Well, since God wills their salvation, if you pray for their salvation, then are they going to be saved? Jesus has already said about prayers that are according to His will "that will I do". Jesus is not some kind of Bi-modal paranoid who doesn't know which will to grant prayers for: Did Jesus lie or not? If God will their salvation and Jesus has promised to grant all prayers according to God's will then will they be saved?

Yes. I can have it both ways.

God wills their salvation AND wills they choose.

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosover believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

In the first part of the verse you see God's will for their salvation.

In the 2nd part you see the necessity laid upon them to choose.

Woody, forget the debating. Forget the logic. Leave the discussion, leave your computer screen. Go pray about this. It's The Word.

Exactly! We are not even talking about trying to poke holes in Calvinism; we are talking about the simple ability to present one's own faith. But, when you are shoveling sand just to keep the castle from completely sinking, you don't have much time to mount a credible defense.

You want me to go and pray if what you are saying is the truth!?!

What an asinine thing to say!

My Bible says: "... and [they] searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."

And as you do not present me with the proper solution to discover the truth of your words, I can reject them as the false gospel lie of Arminianism.

Pray over top of your bible, Woody.

It's The Word. How can praying about this scriptural review of "L" possibly hurt? How can praying about the "I" possibly hurt?

Amen!

Now, it's no longer an unanswered question. Are you ready to join the bible side -- the free choice side -- now, woodmeister?

Be careful! This guy kills threads!

Now, what's this about it being now up to man?

Pray over top of your bible, Woody

Is my position with respect to my Bible suppose to help? BTW, I quoted directly from the Bible the Biblical answer for discovering the truth. Why are you so insistent that I pray about it?

You are starting to sound like the Mormon boys who occationally visit. Are you going to ask me if I get heart burn too after I pray?

So now we're supposed to engage in mysticism, right? I didn't know I even had to be near my Bible to pray.

But surely this is in the Bible, so let me search for it. . .

I dunno! Can you believe this Arminian is actually asking me to pray about man words to see if they are the truth? P.S. I've already quoted him the scripture verse which does show the right way to evaluate man words. xzins evidently doesn't want me to "search the Scritures" to see if they are true. Does that make him a supressor of the truth of the Scriptures?

Amazing!

Make sure you do it when you are standing on your head so that you get a good blood rush. When your ears start to ring then you will have found the truth.
