TEL AVIV – In a shameful display of rogue diplomacy, 72 countries – minus Israel – are set to attend a Middle East “peace” conference in Paris on Sunday widely expected to set the parameters for a future Palestinian state. Fresh from his 70-minute speech two weeks ago largely singling out Israel for condemnation, lame-duck Secretary of State John Kerry will represent the U.S. at the Mideast confab. There, Kerry is slated to represent the Obama administration in crafting a “consensus” document on an Israeli-Palestinian deal. This after a U.S. abstention last month allowed the passage of a United Nations...

Kerry Exits as Congenital Liar and Traitor to America & Israel

Mr. Kerry, with all your pretensions and posturing, your thinly-disguised anger and hostility, your attempts to excise from yourself the things you hated most--your military status, your American identity, your Jewish blood--you failed! Nothing could have surprised—indeed shocked—the national and international public more than learning through a Boston Globe article by Jennifer Anne Perez on February 2, 2003, that U.S. Senator John Kerry—who presented himself as a born-to-the-purple “Boston Brahmin” of Irish-Catholic ancestry—was in fact the grandson of Czech Jews. Like another Democrat, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Kerry pretended to be shocked! shocked! to learn of his Jewish...

Obama, Kerry hinder Israeli-U.S. relations

The death of the two-state solution didn’t happen by accident. It stems from Israel’s continued expansion of subsidized settlements on Palestinian land, a policy that has been considered illegal and an obstacle to peace by both the United States and the UN for decades. This was the context in which the UN resolution was passed. Opposition to settlements is a moderate stance, yet on this issue, even the Democratic Party is siding with Trump instead of Obama.

Congress has signalled it will not tolerate Obama or Kerry attempting to subvert American foreign policy on Israel at the forthcoming conference in Paris on 15 January or in the Security Council in the last five days of Obama's Presidendcy The US Congress has swiftly moved to rebuff the efforts by President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to reverse long-standing American policy in relation to Israel. Congress’s decision goes a long way to restoring America’s reputation and integrity

Ted Cruz goes to the Senate floor and drops bombs all over Obama and Kerry’s anti-Israel legacy

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) took to the Senate floor Thursday and laid into President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry’s “shameful” betrayal of Israel at the United Nations. “President Obama and John Kerry's actions were designed to secure a legacy, and in that they have succeeded,” said Sen. Cruz. “History will record and the world will note that Barack Obama and John Kerry are relentless enemies of Israel.” [.. snip ..]

Kerry can move hydrants, not settlement-building Israelis

If John Kerry is so concerned about settlers building homes on disputed land in Israel he should go before the Jerusalem Zoning Board. That way the secretary of state could present his case, and the anti-Israeli case of lame duck President Barack Obama, before the board personally. It would have much more impact than the wandering 70minute, critical speech he gave before a paid audience of State Department employees in Washington last week. In diplomacy, as everybody knows, the personal touch is always better than a canned speech or a press release. Read more: http://www.lowellsun.com

ISRAEL DOES NOT DESERVE A LECTURE FROM JOHN KERRY

We should lecture Israel's neighbors about their treatment of Jews and other non-Muslims before any criticism of Israel The day after betraying Israel with abstention in the unfair UN Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements, John Kerry attacked Israel directly. In addition to a number of cutting slights, Kerry admonished Israel stating that Israel can be either a “Democracy or a Jewish state, but not both.” This was wrong on a number of levels, but particularly in the patronizing rhetoric directed at Israeli democracy.

What does an Israeli “settler” who lives in Judea and works in Jerusalem think about Kerry’s speech? Daniel Luria is a resident of Ma’ale Adumim, a city of 40,000 people in Judea – barely three miles from the Israeli capital. He works in eastern Jerusalem. According to Kerry, Luria’s residence and workplace are located in “occupied territory” that belongs to the Palestinians. Luria expressed disbelief at the “historical ignorance” of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s speech last week at the State Department. Britain, edging towards Trump, scolds Kerry over Israel

Britain scolded U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry for describing the Israeli government as the most right-wing in Israeli history, a move that aligns Prime Minister Theresa May more closely with President-elect Donald Trump. After U.S. President Barack Obama enraged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by refusing to veto a UN Security Council resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlement building, Kerry's public rebuke of Israel has unsettled some allies such as Britain. Amid one of the United States' sharpest confrontations with Israel since the 1956 Suez crisis, Kerry said in a speech that Israel jeopardizeds hopes of peace in...

BRUSSELS — British Prime Minister Theresa May condemned a blunt speech this week by Secretary of State John F. Kerry on the state of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an unusual move that boosted Britain’s relations with the incoming Trump administration at the expense of President Obama. The rare diplomatic spat between Britain and the United States, which was met with surprise by the State Department, highlighted the fast-collapsing influence of the lame-duck White House.

Classic Obama and classic John Kerry - excusing the sins of tyrants and despots while assaulting Israel with dishonest slander. John Kerry is a loathesome man. He has been since Winter Soldier Hearings of the early 1970s, when he publicly accused his fellow Vietnam veterans of horrific atrocities. He was loathesome when he ran for president in 2004 against George W. Bush, and claimed that a U.S. president must pass a "global test" that requires the approval of foreign leaders. (Blessedly, Kerry failed to pass the American test and was rejected by voters.)

During the Secretary of State’s browbeating Israel speech this morning, he stuck his tongue out, often bizarrely, dozens times during the roughly 73-minute address. Watch these highlights from just the first half of the address:

On December 28th, outgoing Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a rambling truth-challenged defense of the Obama administration’s scandalous decision allowing the United Nations Security Council to pass its most egregious anti-Israel resolution yet. Security Council Resolution 2334, which was adopted last Friday, denounced Israel’s settlements activities as illegal and destructive to the prospects of a two-state solution. Kerry concluded his 73 minute speech by outlining six principles to guide direct negotiations of a final status agreement on all outstanding issues, giving some indication that the Obama administration does not intend to use the Security Council to impose complete parameters...

Mitchell to Kerry: ‘How Disappointed Are You’ Trump Could Undo Your Hard ‘Work' on Israel?

MSNBC host and NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell scored an exclusive interview on Wednesday afternoon with Secretary of State John Kerry following his speech blasting Israel and, not surprisingly, she served up softballs for Kerry up to attack Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The warm feelings were clear from the onset as Mitchell gushed over how Kerry’s 70-minute-plus remarks were “unusual” representing “an important moment” even though President-elect Donald Trump had been tweeting how he’s “very much disagreeing” with the Obama administration’s Israel policy and December 23 United Nations (UN) vote.

Full title : Kerry: “Israel can either be Jewish or democratic. It cannot be both. And it won’t ever really be at peace.” …”The truth is that trends on the ground, violence, terrorism, settlement expansion and the seemingly endless occupation, they are combining to destroy hopes for peace on both sides and increasingly cementing any reversible — an irreversible one state reality that most people do not actually want."Today, there are a similar number of Jews and Palestinians living between the Jordan river and the Mediterranean sea. They have a choice. They can choose to live together in one state...

I’m excited for him. It’s no small thing for a man to realize a fantasy he’s cherished for decades, even though literally no one cares what he has to say. Obama’s a sport for letting him live the dream. That sounds like a joke but it isn’t. What explanation could there be for this except that Kerry badly wanted to extend a rhetorical middle finger to Netanyahu’s government, whose agenda he attacked today as being “driven by its most extreme elements,” on behalf of the Obama administration as they head out the door? Nothing will flow from it policy-wise. The...

Kerry harshly condemns Israeli settler activity as an obstacle to peace

Secretary of State John F. Kerry on Wednesday offered a harsh and detailed assessment of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, saying their growth threatens to destroy the viability of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and that the United States was obliged to allow passage of a U.N. resolution condemning the activity in order to preserve the possibility of peace. Kerry noted that the number of Israelis living in settlements has grown significantly and that their outposts are extending farther into the West Bank — “in the middle of what by any reasonable definition would be the future...

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday said Israel's building of settlements on occupied land was endangering Middle East peace, voicing unusually frank frustration with America's longtime ally. In a swiftly issued statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Kerry of bias. He said Israel did not need to be lectured to by foreign leaders and looked forward to working with incoming President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to pursue more pro-Israeli policies.
