He accepted a donation from Stormfront. How can you defend that?

No he accepted a donation from someone clicking on a donate button most likely. What? You plan on requiring a check on every person that donates to any campaign? Do you realize how much that would cost? Who is going to decide what equates 'good' and 'bad' speech? You? Me?

There are positions that other candidates hold that I disagree with. Shall I have the right to demand they return the money to those supporters? Do you even see how ridiculous this position could get very quickly? Unfortunately it has gotten that way almost already hasn't it? And it is exactly what Dr. Paul says it is. Pandering.

Of course you don't actually care, you have a predisposition against Dr. Paul so by default he must support racism. That about the gist of it?

Puts his fascism whine in a different light, he wasn't surprised, he'd done a similar ad, he simply thinks Huck is a bit too Christian, a fascist, which is fine.

No, several of Huckabee's positions get a pass because he is a 'Christian'. I'm a Christian and Huckabee disturbs me!!

Odd, he's OK with support from fascists who claim to be Christians, the topic of the thread.

I watched the 'interview' and I didn't get that at all. What I got, and he's as much stated this before, if you give money to Dr. Paul expecting something, you're in for a disappointment. Whoever this nut is, he's in for a disappointment. And Dr. Paul stated it tonight, last night on Beck, and many, many times before. Neil Cavuto was sent out to do something (slur Dr. Paul) and he failed heinously. Again.

A nazi became $500 poorer is how I read it.

Don't point out facts like that. Or Dr. Paul's very simple explanation (well at least to those that think for themselves, what does that tell you about the 'faithful'?) to Neil Cavuto. As I said on the other thread, I would like to take a moment to thank Fixed News for their continued attempts to slur a good man, and what for years would be considered a good conservative.

But he wasn't invited to the Tweedledee/Tweedledum dance. And since they can't actually find anything on Dr. Paul they're digging for any mud (even if it doesn't make any sense) to try to stick to him. Fix has chosen its candidate to push and Dr. Paul is getting in the way. His simple message of liberty and freedom has brought down St. Rudy, now it's getting in the way of Tax Hike Mike and Arthur Branch..and they just can't have that.

And what does Ron Paul do today. He runs a Christmas ad, just like Huck

LOL, oh my!! Look at the date on the ads sunshine. They're right there on Youtube. Dr. Paul's ad was released a week earlier than Tax Hike Mike. Tell the pastor to give Dr. Paul's sweater back

LOL!! It's a non-story and Dr. Paul rightly smacked Neil Cavuto down about this very afternoon. I have to hand it to Fix News. Everytime they attack Dr. Paul's numbers go up a point. Now according to ABC/Washington Post, he's in a 3 way tie for 3rd in Iowa with St. Rudy and Mr. 'Can I get a round of applause here?'

Of note, since you didn't listen to the interview and are in blind attack mode, Dr. Paul rightly stated to return the money is pandering. Is St. Rudy going to return the money to the PACs who actually do have power and care less about the citizenry? How about Arthur Branch? Because I can assure you, contrary to the party 'faithful', not everyone of their supporters is lily white. But please do continue. It's actually becoming funny.

Time magazine has terminated its relationships with its two conservative big government advocate warhawk columnists, Charles Krauthammer and William Kristol

There, fixed that...Support or non support of hawkish foreign policy does not define conservative. As much as Chuck, Bill, and Fox News may like to think it does.

Once they have enriched uranium, and it's enriched sufficiently, the weaponization will take a short period of time, and I don't trust the Iranians

And once Mr. 'Can I get a round of applause here' shows where the Iranians represent a threat to our borders and have declared war on this nation (not a loose band of terrorists, but the Iranian government itself) perhaps Freddie can get the war he so much hopes for.

As that is not the case however the best course of action is to trade with all and maintain conversations with all.

Unless of course someone can explain even in the depths of the Cold War it was possible to trade with and maintain some form of relationship with the Soviet Union and China....

Many of us are conservative before Republican. But, even moderate Republicans wouldn’t support him en masse.

As I said, a lot of the Old Right, Classical Liberals will however. And many of us are no longer in the 'pool' (that being considered likely voters, etc.) Those numbers simply aren't being tracked by the polls. Also any of the young people whose first election it is. You've got quite a few folks out there that just aren't showing up by state or national polls

On my blog, several Paulistinians come in defending him claiming to be “the true conservatives.” Their own words betray them.

    Such as?

Far left loons, maybe, claiming to be Republican

Interesting. I know far more conservatve voters who used to vote Republican until they gave up on the nonsense. How about those? Or have you considered such a thing?

You say that attempting to join our republic would be a "ridiculous suggestion"?!?

Yes it would. Why would any nation want to? Don't get me wrong this isn't a slam on these United States, it's a statement in general. Would be like the Indians calling up the UK and asking to be annexed. Or the Russians deciding over night Chile should be a member state in their federation and asking them to join. Never mind the logistics of keeping a member of the union supplied, what are you going to do? Claim the whole airspace between the two belongs to you?

If you're so gung ho on annexing something get some people up in your state to do it. But although as I said I don't think you're going to find anyone... you seriously can't believe this would be a good idea. At least bother to put some reasoning behind it.

If "that nation" isn't even willing to make an attempt at joining us

Well considering I've never heard of any attempt from any citizens of any nation outside of the Western hemisphere making such a ridiculous suggestion, the point is moot isn't it? Exactly what I said.

I really think it is another demonstration that he is completely out of touch with reality

Whereas according to the Constitution, it would seem the Republican party is the one out of touch with reality. The Framers never intended the federal government to get involved in moral issues or any such mess. What the Republican agenda does in legislating morality at the federal level is further turn the Constitution into a document that was intended solely to limit the federal government into a document that limits the freedoms and liberties (right or wrong) of the citizens of the respective states.

Perhaps we should just surrender to communism/socialism now since our laws and form of government are so weak and unappealing?

Considering you would be introducing quite a few limitations on that nation they wouldn't want, even they wouldn't agree to it. But hey as I said do what you want. You seriously won't get more than 5% of the general public to agree with you. The issue falls apart at the simple issues just think about what happens when you got to the difficult ones.

Perhaps you could explain "what that would mean" and why it would be so bad.

Well besides it being even more reminiscent of the British Empire (sun never sets eh?) then we already have, you've just added 5,000,000+ people to the tax base, to the Social Security system, etc. Then you're going to have to convince them to follow our form of government and our laws. LOL, that ought to be fun. Not to mention the fact territorial disputes, etc. Our Armed Forces would literally be stationed there year round in defense, you'd have at least two whole fleets in the Med region just for that alone. How do you think the Russians, Chinese, et. al. are going to feel about that?

I'm just scratching the surface here. It simply would never work no matter how you feel about it. Unless you've forgotten Republicans are supposed to stand for limited government and your one move would at least double (if not triple) the size of government and the bureaucracy we currently have

Or they're on their own against the other forces that may be allied against them. Do you feel that admitting new states to our union is such a terrible thing?

No you're free to do so. Good luck with that though. Don't think you're going to get a lot of people to agree with you once it's explained just exactly what that would mean.

LOL, I about posted the same thing earlier. The other thing I caught was his reference of words by the Framers. It's not a speech, it's material he's remembered over the years. Franklin? Madison? Jefferson? Most politicians can remember the general names but unless it's been written in a speech for them, they'd have no clue

No wonder the politicians don't recognize the Constitution, they don't know the men who wrote it by their own words.
