It will be very easy for you to say, "Well, I will do something, some day. When I can afford it, I am going to." But would you let an old "grad" tell you one thing now? Giving is a habit. Get into the habit now, because you will never be able to afford to give and contribute, thus to repay the obligation you owe to those people who made this college possible, if you wait until you think you can afford it. Start now regardless of how small, and in the days to come when you are confronted with demands for many worthwhile causes and charities I think you will find that you will give dutifully to all the worthy ones. But here and there you will pick one or two that will be favorites, and you can do no better than to pick this, your Alma Mater, because you will not only be repaying your own personal obligations, you will be making your contribution to the very process which has made and continues to keep America great.

So your from North Carolina .. I have a brother living down that way ... My sister inlaws family from there also ... A great bunch of people you have down there .. I've been thru your state many a time ... and I am always amazed at the beauty ... it truly is beautiful State

Bumpity Bump. I've been gone for awhile. The last time I surfaced on this website was Thread 30. There's been a lot of celebrating here at my house today, and I've also been visiting other websites. Rest assured that Anti-Freepers are monitoring each and every post on these fund-raising threads. And if they see anything that they feel would support their pathetic agenda, they copy-and-paste it on their own websites for the benefit of others who hate Free Republic and Jim Robinson.
We are now entering Day Ten of the Freepathon and we're about halfway to our goal. Free Republic shows absolutely no signs of shutting down, caving in to the Left, or losing their appeal of the LAT/WP vs. FR lawsuit. We will continue to be the biggest and best conservative website on the Internet and we will continue to lead the fight against fraud and corruption in government and left-wing bias in the media.
And they just cannot stand it. Two years ago, the Anti-Freepers were posting dire predictions about how Free Republic would fold in a few months. On a regular basis, I see their claims that Jim can't keep it going much longer, or that the LAT/WP lawsuit is going to destroy us. Just a couple of weeks ago, I saw a promise by a guy named TracyLord over at Smirking Chimp that if FR is still up and running on Chistmas, he will eat his computer.
I intend to go back to Smirking Chimp on Christmas Day, start a discussion thread with a link to this site all lit up like a Christmas tree, and ask him whether he wants fries and a Coke with that computer he's going to be eating.
