Green Party USA Condemns US Bombing of Afghanistan

CNSNews.com) - As U.S. forces continue its assault on the Taliban-ruling militia and suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, the Green Party USA has recently come out and condemned military actions in the region as inhumane and an act of "state terrorism."

The Green Party USA, in a press release, said "Greens believe that all human life is equally valuable, whether a person works in lower Manhattan or lives in the desert outside Kabul."

The party said it would mourn the lives of "hundreds of innocent civilians murdered by U.S. bombs in Afghanistan." At the same time, the party said it would continue to mourn the thousands killed in the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

"Greens everywhere are mobilizing in an anti-war movement to force an end to the cycle of violence," said Mitchel Cohen, Green Party USA media coordinator. "The Green Party USA has officially endorsed anti-war protests that will occur in a number of cities set for Saturday, October 27th, and our members are participating in numerous efforts to stop these bombings and save people's lives."

"Those responsible for acts of terror, including 'state terror,' should be brought to justice under international law," the press release stated.

The Green Party believes that justice must not be confused with revenge, saying it "will only lead to the deaths of more innocent civilians."

"Justice should be the result of a fair, impartial and transparent trial conducted under international law at which credible evidence is produced," said Brooklyn Green Pete Dolack.

"Thus far, that evidence against any specific individual, including Osama bin Laden, has been questionable," the press release stated.

The Bush administration is using the terrorist attacks "as a pretext for activities that have nothing to do with 'preventing terrorism'," charged Cohen. "It's all about oil, corporate profits and globalization."

"The best way to protect U.S. citizens against terrorist attacks is by forcing our government to follow international law and end its military conquests in the Middle East and the rest of the world," he said.

There's lots of "scary stuff" in the labs that the "animal liberation" people raid, ya know?

Makes you wonder, considering the "wish" the PETA bigwig made, regarding Foot & Mouth disease.

Much more than "mad Muslims", I fear -them-.

Just when I thought the Green party could not be more irrelevant to the U.S. political scene, they go and prove me wrong . . .

When secular humanism becomes a political philosophy, you get Green gobbledygook.

Unfortunately they aren't as irrelavent as one would hope. Our Seattle city council is staffed with card-carrying Green's. I wonder what it's going to take before people like them decide to defend themselves? I figured an Anthrax attack against their ally Dashole would do it but I guess I was wrong.

Gee, the same socialist peaceniks who've been harping on about the evils of America for years have announced that they, once again, think everything wrong with the world is our fault. What a suprise </sarcasm>

You should note that October 27th, the day of their multiple protests, is also the same day that Mumia Abu-Jamal is to meet his fate. Coincidence? I think not. He's gonna find out he's getting the gas and they'll use it to try to fan their ridiculous flames of "injustice".

Ozzy Blesses America, But Not Anti-War Protesters

Ozzy Osbourne was in New York City when the World Trade Center went down, and he saw it with his own eyes from his midtown Manhattan hotel. He told LAUNCH it was the worst thing he's ever seen, and he wants justice and retribution. He realizes that our enemies must be crushed.

Ozzy has changed the name of his forthcoming tour with Rob Zombie from Black Christmas to the Merry Mayhem tour. During the trek, Ozz Bless America merchandise will be available for sale. "I love this country and I think there's always somebody saying, 'Fight democracy,'" said Osbourne.

He told LAUNCH he's disgusted with the recent anti-war protests.

"When I was watching TV the other day I saw these people, these little f--king tree people walking around and banging drums and banners saying, 'War is not the answer.' I go, 'OK, fair enough. I take your choice, but we didn't say 'Tuesday the 11th of September it'd be really nice to have two airplanes blow up the World Trade Center. That's just a really cool idea.' And if you don't think that war is the answer then you should go to the country that started war on us and walk down f--king Kabul main street and show your bones, and I guarantee you wouldn't get one f--king slogan out before you get somebody snipe at you in the back of the head, you know?"

Normally, I'm a libertarian, but I have to say, I'm getting to the point where, if I were in charge I'd be a mean son of a bitch.

I'd drop all restrictions on our 2nd Amendment rights, drop the Drug War, and start exterminating the vermin INSIDE the country, as well as out.

Check out how they feel dropping bombs during war is murder, but flying planes into buildings is just killing. Isn't it interesting how they make a distinction and come down semantically on the side of the terrorists? I mean, if they think all life is equally precious, why arent they over in Kabul protesting the killing our 5400+ people killed? I smell another double standard. . .

"Greens believe that all human life is equally valuable, whether a person works in lower Manhattan or lives in the desert outside Kabul."

Then I suggest that all Greens go to the desert outside Kabul to protect the lives there - they failed to protect anyone in Lower Manhattan.

Actually, this really is unfortunate - I had hoped the Greens would stay an active party to siphon off Democrat votes - now they'll probably be out of business within a year.

Don't take these Green Peace-creeps too lightly. Like their Leftist forebearers in the early 60's, they are starting their "peace-at-any-price" marches to much criticism and ridicule. The Left has since taken over much of American Culture and Institutions; the Greens could end up with the remainder if the war stretches out for a long time and the media starts filming some returning body bags.

"They", did not fail to protect the people of New york City; that responsibility lies with "you" the voter. Maybe we should impeach the electorate.

For real? No kidding? I had no idea.

We're having a rally ourselves on 10/27 in Times Square; maybe I should bring along a "Fry Mumia" sign just to piss them off. ;-)
