Bush no better than Clinton, FReepers still think government lies even though "W" is in charge

Oh My God! I am actually in shock at the threads I have read on FR the last few days. We spent 8 years suffering, waiting for our time to come, and it has. Now we accuse the FBI, NTSB, FAA of lying and covering up the cause of the crash of 587 in NYC. There could possibly be 100 reasons why the airliner could have gone down, but so many jump on the bomb/missle/sabatoge/ bandwagon before ANY info comes out.

Remember "W"? We wanted him to win, he was our guy. Why would you shout "cover-up" if YOUR guy was in charge? Is "W" as bad as Clinton? Why is it that no one will actually accept the fact that airliners actually go down for reasons other than missles and terrorism. If the NTSB, FAA, FBI is lying, what does that say about "W"? Sad to see this site sink to the lows that it has. No wonder the DU freaks have such a laugh at our expense.

Read the front page of this site. It's about conservatism. Not Republican our-guy-won cheerleading.

We look at the facts, some of us make conjectures. That's what this board is, a *discussion* board.

If you took the time to read through the posts, you will find that there is a wide variety of perspectives on 587. And on many other issues.

who accused Bush of lying?

saying that the fbi, ntsb, faa and such are lying has nothing to do with bush. there are tens of thousands of entrenched bureaucrats in the fedgov who have not changed

it could take a decade to improve some parts of the gov

I have took the time, that is why I posted. It seems that facts seem to take a backseat lately, I am simply trying to remind people that we need ALL the facts before we jump off of cliffs.

"he was our guy"

Remember he was our guy, and if wants to stay our guy, then he has to fight for truth and justice.
A lie is a Lie, and doesn't matter if it's from GOP or a RAT.

What did you expect? We're not programmed robots here. That's the whole point. Conservatives for the most part, by their excersise of logic&reason, are thinkers. When you start a discussion among thinkers, you are bound to get different opinions, and no one will like them all.

As for the DU crowd, I'm not too worried about them. If they ever woke up they'd realize that their thought processes are being dictated by their party and pop-culture, not themselves. Other than for the occasional good laugh, I can't imagine why they would ever be so much as a blip on any FReeper's radar screen.

So Clinton could then blame some things on Bush Sr. and Reagan?

Trust but verify…

I haven't seen any evidence thus far that says it wasn't an "accident".

I've always been suspicious of French engineering… Take Italian engineering for example, if a wheel or something doesn't fall off it was over designed… ;-)

Yes. The world isn't black and white, only shades of gray. We all (?) prefer Reagan over Bush Sr. over Clinton, but that's pretty much where it ends.

"I haven't seen any evidence thus far that says it wasn't an "accident".

Perhaps because you are not looking for evidence that says it was an accident.

I have to laugh at the ones who are patting themselves on the back for being "independent" thinkers because they don't follow the government line that this was accident. You flatter yourselves. You are part of a herd, a stampede actually.

It is the people who DON'T think that there is a coverup that are the independent thinkers. We are the ones who don't jump on the conspiracy bandwagon at the drop of a tin foil hat.

Good words, Uni-Poster.

But not to worry, I hear tell that JR is going to award tin-foil hats to deserving FReepers.

Oh, I see some of the meritorious are already here!

I haven't seen any evidence thus far that says it wasn't an "accident"

Another wards, I haven't seen any evidence that it was a terrorist act.

Having the NTSB investigate this rather than the FBI is a good move. The FBI is by nature, and often by necessity, secretive; and some believe it is also Clintonized and hence programmed now to look for politically correct answers only.
With NTSB leading the investigation, information will probably be made public soon after known. If they find an orange powder, you will probably get to analyze it to death in the light of day.

Airbus and American Airlines are going to take a beating, but a thorough public airing right now is necessary for public confidence. So let the chips fall where they may.
That means I've backed off from my first impression of saboteurs not bolting down the tail, and am waiting. Like we waited these last few weeks over the war in Afghanistan, while the nervous nellies were yelling "quagmire."
After 8 years, there are a lot of people who have forgotten that we have had Presidents that could be trusted to level with the people, and I sincerely believe we have one of those again.

You're a conspiracy theorist looking for a president. Thanks but no thanks.

"That means I've backed off from my first impression of saboteurs not bolting down the tail, and am waiting."

Yeah I had a first impression that someone was playing around with the nuts and bolts on the plane too. But I doubt it now. I think the investigation is going fairly well and I think this administration can be trusted. Also I look to media and political types whose opinion, character and independence I trust. People like Brit Hume, Rush, and some others. If Brit was seeing a cover up I think he would say so.

All bureaucracies lie to cover their a#%, or for national security. And bureaucrats lie for countless other reasons.
