This summer I gave my son my old car. It needed work, and my husband and him put new quarter panels on it and repainted the car. I am in the graphics business and my son spent the rest of the summer trying to determine what kind of graphics to deck out his new wheels with.
I had suggested a flag design of some sort, which he thought was really cool but we didn't want to bother my husband to have to paint it with the small amount of time he has. I wanted to stick to just simple vinyl graphics.
Anyway, at summer's end, the car was still plain white.

Fast forward....
After the 11th of September, my husband and I started a project that we are hoping will be huge. Then to go along with it we needed the right vehicle. I hope my son will loan his car to the project. I also hope he likes what we did to his car. He doesn't know that we did it. Shhh....
Wednesday at about 8:00 PM we took the car to the paint booth and got to work. Yesterday morning before Thanksgiving dinner we finished painting. Last night, we had our first drive...

The stars are a reflective vinyl and light up when light hits them.

The other project is still in the works, and I will announce it when I'm a bit closer to ready. Hopefully soon.
Do you think he will like what we did to his car? I doubt we could put it back.

WOO HOO!
He will love it! It needs flames coming out the exhaust when going at high speeds! The horn should play a loud anthem too!
Great Job.

Great Job!!!!
I've had similar thoughts of doing the same to my Miata since 9/11...availability of funds about the only impasse at this point.
To: abner
WOW!! Can you adopt me??? I have white car that could use a snazzy new paint job...
To: Guna
Thanks.
If he is driving with flames coming out of the exhaust, I'm going to revoke his driving priveledges.
Oops, I can't do that, he is over 18.

How sweet! It makes me laugh and cry and smile all at once!
Any flag makes me tear up...can't help it.
Wonderful. If you raised him right (which I'm sure you did),
he will LOVE it and drive it proudly!
God bless you!

Well, I'm glad everyone likes it. Thanks for the encouragement.
This project is small in comparison to the one it is related to.
