Thanks again for agreeing to take part in the next Arbitron Ratings Radio Survey!
As our interviewer probably told you, this is an unusual opportunity. Your household is among a select group across the U.S. we've asked to join in the survey. Odds are you won't be asked again until the year 2043!
You may never have thought about the radio stations you and other members of your household listen to. You may be surprised!
In a few days, we'll send you a diary for each member of your household who is 12 years old or older. All each person will do is write down the radio stations they listen to during the survey week.
When you return your diary to us after the survey week, we'll put your information in our computer, along with the information from everyone else who takes part. Then we'll send the results to radio stations, which use them to plan their programing.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE'RE NOT SELLING ANYTHING!
This is a legitimate survey. We've been doing this kind of research for 52 years. If you have any questions, please call us toll-free at 1-800-XXX-XXXX, or visit our Web site: www.arbitronratings.com, or check with any business information office in your area.
Cordially,
Steve Morris
President
P.S. You may be wondering how we happened to call you. Your phone number was chosen at random by our computer from a list of all possible numbers. No one gave or sold it to us, and we will not give or sell it to anyone.

I have not received my diary yet, but expect it within a couple of days.
Do you have any suggestions as to what radio programs I should listen to in order to give their ratings a boost? The minimum requirement is 5 minutes listening time. Internet radio is included.
Thank you for any suggestions!

Too bad it doesn't include TV ratings as well, because I think it's important to boost FOX NEWS wherever possible. Just boost any any respectable conservative talk show radio programs in your area would be my vote.

Limbaugh and Drudge. But let me ask you, isn't it suppose to work the other way around? You do what you normally do and just happen to report it to Arbitron?
To: VA Advogado
I will be mostly doing that, but there are times when I could be listening to the radio, but don't. I'll use those times to listen to FReeper suggestions if it corresponds to the time I have available.

On some thread around here in the past week, someone said FOX had started a radio broadcast - that could replace ABC news that cuts into conservative talk radio's at the top of the hour - they might be on the internet....don't think it's widely distributed yet. But, ANYTHING FOX is better then all the others.

Our family recently did the Arbitron thing. They send crisp $1 bills with each diary as well as $1 when you've returned them. Woo Hoo! Now you're in the money;^}

I was a Nielsen household twice in the past few years. You get how ever many TVs are in the household even if no one watches one or two of them. Then you fill in the diary for a week. Of course, I listed Fox News as my most watched along with the Food Channel. And that's about it, other than the Sopranos. Other networks? What other networks?

Why would you want to help these leftist ba**ards do anything? Do you really believe that they don't tweak your report to meet whatever political or economic outcomes they desire? What is in it for you and why would you take on this kind of obligation without compensation, at least at your normal rate?

WOW!! A whole $1!! Can't wait!

You are correct.

I listen to the radio much more than I watch teevee. When I do watch tv, it's usually Fox News or The History Channel.
