CARROLLTON — Call it a case of being caught on candid camera. After two men broke into their home through a back door last week, Megan McNulty took to Facebook in her own brand of crime-fighting. The post reads: “Anyone know these two idiots, they broke into our home in Carrollton and stole our passports and all of James' brand new guitar equipment, let's make them "famous" shall we?” she wrote on a post with the surveillance video taken from inside her home. The posted video helped police identify the two men.

The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) said it had carried out an investigation and that the troop in question was not a member. "We are able to confirm that the group concerned is not a member of the Palestinian Scout Association or recognized by WOSM," a statement to AFP said. It’s hard to overstate the symbolic power of sitting down. Today, a football player’s refusal to stand for the National Anthem has garnered headline upon headline. Twenty-two years ago, a seated couple protested one of the world’s most beloved figures. In a truly iconic American scene that still captures the attention—and confusion—of the Washington elite, then-President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary, sat in stunned silence amid a standing ovation that followed Mother Teresa’s address at the National Prayer Breakfast. The applause lasted a solid five minutes after Mother Teresa’s address. Long before the days of “virtue-signaling,” however, the Clintons...

Hillary Clinton Admits White House Policies Will Be Sold To The Highest Bidder If She’s Elected “The fact Hillary Clinton believes it is appropriate for her husband to remain on the board of the Clinton Foundation if she is elected is proof that she operates in a permanent ethical blind spot and lacks the judgment to be president. This would present an unacceptable and unprecedented conflict of interest which would compromise her presidency beyond repair. That’s why the country’s leading newspapers, ethicists, and even top Democrats are calling on the Clintons to separate from the Clinton Foundation or to even...

Triggered social justice warriors and cowering college administrators were breathing a sigh of relief. They thought it was all over. They were wrong. While Hillary Clinton is relying heavily on union support for a November victory, not all union members are forgetting the Clintons’ past. As Bill Clinton was walking in the Detroit Labor Day parade, he was heckled by someone shouting “No NAFTA Boy!” as he went by. Watch:

Miami-Dade County says a woman’s open-air tree house was built illegally, is unsafe and must be demolished in the next four months. The Miami Herald reports Shawnee Chasser refuses to remove her tree house nestled against the forked trunks of an oak and strangler fig in the wooded front yard of her late son’s Biscayne Gardens home. The fight sets up an only-in-Miami showdown between a $7 billion government and a 65-year-old grandmother who sells bags of organic popcorn at Whole Foods. “I’m not taking down anything,” Chasser vowed during an interview. “I’ll chain myself to that tree house.” Chasser,who...

This song just barely snuck into the Top 40 in November of 1969. It should have been a much bigger hit. It's a haunting song about a father who lost his son in the Vietnam War and he spends his days wandering about Echo Park in Los Angeles. Some old timers might remember this song from Top 40 radio and it should bring back some memories. For those younger, give it a listen. You will not be disappointed.

https://youtu.be/WCZwdDRDRuUHe hasn't been following it closely; yet he's willing to weigh in with his understanding of it (where have we heard this before?): “My understanding at least is he’s exercising his constitutional right to make a statement. I think there’s a long history of sports figures doing so,” Obama said Monday during a news conference in Hangzhou, China. Strawman. This isn't a question of Constitutional rights. No one I know who is challenging Kaepernick's "stance" disputes his 1st Amendment right to be anti-American (which is an American tradition to do amongst some Americans on one side of the political spectrum)....

For some, the fight for social equality is moving to a new battleground: the banking sector. In the midst of a national debate about how to address police brutality and economic inequality, a quiet shift has taken place. Participants in a nationwide movement to deploy African-American spending power in a more targeted fashion have funneled deposits into black-owned banks across the country. Dubbed the "Bank Black" campaign, proponents have called for using black wealth to create positive change in an increasingly fractured society.

...This city of 32,000 just south of Richmond is facing a financial crisis unusual for fiscally conservative Virginia — or any state. In at least the past four years, the city had spent all of its reserves and then kept spending money it didn’t have. It took out short-term loans based on anticipated tax revenue to keep paying bills. When the loans ran out, it stopped paying. Some fire and rescue equipment has been repossessed. The city trash hauler is threatening to stop pickup. And lenders will not give Petersburg any more loans. In his 46 years minding state ledgers...
