RUSH: You ready for this one? This was the lead story, it still is the lead story at the Drudge Report. CBS News New York, Eyeball News 2. "Woman Says Her Wi-Fi Connection Is Making Her Sick." Now, this is one of those stories, see the headline, you might read the first paragraph. And you think, okay, here comes another kook. She may be, probably is, but that doesn't mean that this story's gonna go away and die. I mean, look where you cannot smoke now if you're a smoker because people claiming to be 300 feet away from you...

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) argued the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing was just “lapdog bureaucrats” and “academic elitists” on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel. Clarke said the police task force “had a couple of lapdog bureaucrats on there, and then the rest of them were academic elitists. At ground level it’s a lot different. … And what I witnessed on the left was just distraction…distraction against what the real problem is in the American ghetto and it is not the American police officer. It is modern liberalism that has been a wrecking ball on...

Flickr's new auto-tagging feature is generating some pretty offensive results. The photo sharing site, which is owned by Yahoo (YHOO, Tech30), launched image-recognition software two weeks ago that automatically creates tags for photos. The purpose was to make images more searchable in the system. Some concentration camp photos received inappropriate tags, including "sport" and "jungle gym." Flickr had also been tagging some images of people as "ape" and "animal," including a photo of a black man named William taken by photographer Corey Deshon, according to the Guardian.

Dem strategist Steve McMahon prefaced his remarks with the standard tongue-in-cheek disclaimer about not intending to hurt, by praising him, the prospects of someone from the other party. On this evening's With All Due Respect, McMahon then proceeded to gush over Marco Rubio, saying that listening to him recount his life story as the son of immigrants "melts my heart." McMahon predicted that Rubio would be the Republican nominee. So . . . does McMahon's praise mean anything? Is Rubio really the Republican the Dems fear, or is it a don't-throw-us-in-the-briar-patch pitch on McMahon's part? View the video here.

At some point in the 1970s, a man in Manchester, New Hampshire asks his friend, “What do you think about Mo Udall for president?” The other man replies, “I don’t know, I only met him twice.” Or so goes John McCain’s oft-repeated joke about the Granite State’s brand of personal politics. Now it appears that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is starting to get on New Hampshire’s nerves for being impersonal. The Nashua Telegraph published an editorial Thursday that said a conference call by Clinton’s campaign with local media was “the antithesis of what NH is about.” According to the Telegraph, the...

Video US President Barack Obama has described the loss of key Iraqi territory to Islamic State as a tactical setback, while insisting the war against the jihadist group is not being lost. "I don't think we're losing," Obama said in an interview with news magazine The Atlantic published Thursday, days after the Iraqi city of Ramadi was overrun. Shia militias converged on Ramadi Monday in a bid recapture it from jihadists who dealt the Iraqi government a stinging blow by overrunning the city in a deadly three-day blitz. The loss of the capital of Iraq's largest province was Baghdad's worst...

N o one will blame you if you can’t keep track of the Republican presidential field. It’s huge. If you count declared candidates, prospectives, and announced aspirants, you have 18 people from across the Republican ideological spectrum: Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Rick Santorum, Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. John Kasich, Gov. Rick Snyder, Gov. Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, George Pataki, Rick Perry, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. The field is so large that news networks have put limits on who can...

The woman was walking with a friend when the swarm attacked her just after 9 a.m, and she was rushed to a local hospital for treatment afterwards. She has since been released. The area around the levee was closed so exterminator George McDonough of Robbins Pest Management could be called. Two stepbrothers suspected of trying to steal beer from a grocery store were not armed with guns when they were shot Thursday by a police officer who confronted them in Washington state’s capital city, authorities said. The officer reported he was being assaulted with a skateboard early Thursday before the shooting in Olympia that left a 21-year-old man critically injured and a 24-year-old man in stable condition. Both were expected to survive. The shooting, which is being investigated by a team of detectives from several agencies, prompted some protests. “We are committed to helping our community work through this difficult...

Consumer demand for rabbit meat and the welfare of the rabbits may not be what Whole Foods has suggested.Whole Foods Market is known for its high quality and high prices, but now some critics question whether the grocery chain is living up to its own high standards in its rabbit meat pilot program. In the summer of 2014, the grocery chain started to offer rabbit meat in select markets across the country, including the Bay area. The Investigative Unit obtained USDA inspection reports for Iowa Rabbit, the farm that supplies Whole Foods Market with its rabbit meat. An analysis of...

Vermont has a new Safe Haven law, which means that parents can hand over an infant to an employee at any fire station, health facility or hospital, with absolutely no questions asked. However, apparently Planned Parenthood is considered a safe place for infants in Vermont. In an advertisement from Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, the abortion business announced, “Vermont has a new safe haven law. This means that rather than abandoning your newborn, you can bring your baby to a safe place where he or she will be carried for. All Planned Parenthood health centers in Vermont are safe...

(CNSNews.com) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had “leadership/ownership/stewardship of this country’s Libya policy from start to finish,” says an email written by one of Clinton’s top aides--and forwarded to Clinton herself--as the Libyan rebellion that sought the overthrow of Muammar Qadhafi appeared to be nearing a triumphant moment. The email is one of those the State Department has thus far given to the House Select Committee on Benghazi. It is among 349 pages of those emails that were obtained by the New York Times and that the Times has posted online in a PDF.This email about Clinton’s “ownership” of U.S....

The father of Daron Wint, the man suspected of killing a Northwest D.C. couple, their young son, and their housekeeper, had been so frightened by threats his son made to shoot his own family that he sought a protective order barring the man from contacting them for a year. Maryland court records show that over the last decade Mr. Wint has been the subject of numerous peace and protective orders. One taken out by his own father in 2005 describes how the then 21-year-old Mr. Wint stood outside of his father’s Lanham home and threatened to shoot his father and...

May 21, 2015 The Central Intelligence Agency is shutting down a research program that offered classified data to scientists to examine the link between climate change and global security threats. A CIA spokesman confirmed that the agency had ended its MEDEA program, a 1990s-era intelligence program restarted in 2010 under President Obama. The collaboration gave scientists access to intelligence assets like satellite data to study climate change and inform on how its impacts could inflame conflicts. CIA spokesman Ryan Whaylen said "these projects have been completed and CIA will employ these research results and engage external experts as it continues...

U.S. News & World Report's Susan Milligan wildly spun for Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton on the May 20 edition of Hardball when she insisted that the fact that her supporters in a recent focus-group survey by Bloomberg TV cannot name a single accomplishment of hers as Secretary of State is, well, "unfair." Indeed, Milligan insisted, the job of Secretary of State is essentially to make sure nothing major goes wrong on his or her watch. Clearly Susan has never heard of the fiasco that is post-Qadhafi Libya or the ongoing civil war in Syria or the abject failure of...
