Open borders are the only path to defeating President Donald Trump, a Salon writer claims. In a piece titled “Everyone’s wrong on immigration: Open borders are the only way to defeat Trump and build a better world”, Salon writer Anis Shivani claims that there is no distinction between a legal and illegal immigrant; immigration law is “racist”; and “open borders are the only way to go.” Shivani adds: We are in a situation of chaos, breeding technical illegality, because federal regulations have become too complex. Comprehensive immigration reform of any type would make these laws even more cumbersome by drastically curtailing...

A University of Wisconsin-La Crosse police dispatcher claims she was fired for supporting Donald Trump. In a letter sent Tuesday to the UW System Board of Regents, Kimberly Dearman's lawyer, Lee Fehr of Onalaska, said his client had been fired for political speech in support of President Donald Trump's travel ban. Fehr's letter said the comments were spurred by an email UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow sent to faculty, students and staff rebuking the move by the president. Gow denied Dearman was fired for her politics. "I want to be very clear," Gow said. "We would never let someone go based...

As noted by Robert Satloff of The Washington Institute, a 2007 book from the Gallup press, Who Speaks for Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think, based on a poll of more than 50,000 Muslims in ten countries, found that 7 percent of Muslims deem the 9/11 attacks "completely justified"; 13.5 percent consider the attacks completely or "largely justified," and 36.6 percent consider the attacks completely, largely, or "somewhat justified."[5]Which of these groups does one define as Islamist and which not? Islamists have fooled the White House, the departments of Defense, Justice, State, and Treasury, Congress, and law enforcement. Faced...

United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it arrested 86 foreign nationals across five Midwestern states last week, including 26 in Minnesota. In a release Wednesday, the department said the operation targeted immigration fugitives, re-entrants and at-large criminal aliens over a three-day span. The operation included 32 arrests in Nebraska, 26 in Minnesota, 23 in Iowa, four in North Dakota and one in South Dakota. ICE said 52 of those arrested had prior convictions in addition to an undocumented status. Twenty-three had previously been deported and returned, which constitutes a felony.

On March 14, a coalition of 55 abortion groups, including Planned Parenthood Federation of America, issued a letter to U.S. Senate Democrats urging them to oppose President Trump's Supreme Court nominee. The four-page letter urges senators to block the nomination because "Trump established an outrageous litmus test for his Supreme Court nominees: They must be committed to overturning Roe v. Wade." The letter continues, "Trump made it clear he believes Gorsuch passes this dangerous test and earned the applause of anti-abortion groups."(video at link)One of the supposed "anti-abortion" groups, Americans United for Life (AUL), also delivered a letter to members of...

After nearly two years since the announcement of his intent to run for office, President Donald Trump is still being viciously pursued by the mainstream media, who are convinced there is some "silver bullet" out there that will destroy his movement and bring their shattered world back to their version of normalcy. However, one by one, every conspiracy theory that they have convinced themselves in true about Trump has blown up in the media's faces. The Russian hackers, Vladimir Putin connections and now the Trump tax returns have all proven to be at most ineffective for the anti-Trump media forces....

Image: The mural, commissioned by Archbishop Paglia for his cathedral Church in Terni-Narni-Amelia, depicts homoerotic themes, trangender persons, prostitutes, drug dealers and other material highly inappropriate for a church setting.Last week on the 1P5 podcast, I talked to Joseph Sciambra about the revelation that Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, Pope Francis’ newly-appointed head of the Pontifical Academy for Life and Grand Chancellor of the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family, had commissioned an openly homosexual artist to paint a homoerotic mural in his cathedral Church in 2007.Reactions to that story are now coming in from Catholic leaders, including former members of Paglia’s freshly-gutted Pontifical Academy...

Roscosmos hopes to expand its reach further, with missions planned to the Moon and even Mars. Towards this end, on Tuesday, March 14th, the agency announced that it is conducting a recruitment drive for new cosmonauts. All are welcome, the agency stressed, to apply to become the next-generation of space explorers (provided they meet the criteria). And if all goes as planned, a few lucky applicants will be the first members of the Russian space program to “fly to the Moon.” Understandably, Roscosmos is hoping to jump start its space exploration program again and recapture the momentum it enjoyed during...

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking all records its has on the June 27, 2016 meeting between President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch in her airplane, a meeting that occurred while the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, a potential national security crime. The airplane meeting took place on the tarmac at the Phoenix Harbor International Airport, several days before Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the FBI. Several months after the gathering, Lynch told the media that...
  • The real reason New York US Attorney Preet Bharara was asked to resign

New York Senator Charles Schumer was instrumental in getting Bharara appointed to that position and in return was asked from time to time to do favors for the senator and his allies. Up until recently, President Trump had no idea what was really going on. Once President Trump’s staff understood the quid pro quo, they had no choice but to ask for Bharara’s resignation. In 2015, Puerto Rico defaulted on $70 billion in municipal bonds. Those involved panicked. There was ample evidence that the issuing agencies were technically bankrupt when they issued the bonds and that they purchased fraudulent credit...
  • Kirsten Gillibrand: How will the police solve gun crimes if people are allowed to use silencers?

Oddly enough, criminals haven’t yet deduced the allegedly awesome crime-evading powers of the silencer. A Chicago PD spokesman told Steve Chapman earlier this year that they rarely recover silencers in gun crimes; an ATF study found that, of 1.3 million silencers in use in the United States, an average of … 44 are used in the commission of crimes annually. Why would America’s felons leave a tool like this at home when, per Gillibrand, it could mean the difference between capture and escape? Are they idiots?
  • John McCain: Rand Paul ‘Is Now Working for Vladimir Putin’

The long-simmering war between Sens. John McCain and Rand Paul boiled over on Wednesday when the Arizona lawmaker directly accused his colleague of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin. While speaking from the Senate floor in support of a bill advancing Montenegro’s bid to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), McCain noted objection from his Kentucky colleague, saying that if you oppose the measure, “You are achieving the objectives of Vladimir Putin... trying to dismember this small country which has already been the subject an attempted coup.” Several moments later, after the 80-year-old senator asked for unanimous consent to...

"Hallowed be Thy name" (Matt. 6:9). Prayer should always exalt God. The Disciples' Prayer illustrates the priority that God should hold in our prayers. Jesus began by exalting the Father: "Hallowed be Thy name" (v. 9), then requested that the Father's kingdom come and His will be done (v. 10). He concluded with an anthem of praise: "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen" (v. 13). His prayer literally begins and ends with God. "Hallowed be Thy name" exalts the name of the Lord and sets a tone of worship and submission that is...

“Walk . . . with all humility” (Ephesians 4-1-2). Our possessions and positions in life are from God; we can’t take credit for them. Many today take pride in their economic status. They boast about their riches and trust their money, thinking they must be great for acquiring all they have. But remember what Moses said to the Israelites before they entered the Promised Land: “You may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power...

A US circuit court in Georgia has ruled that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of sex, does not by that fact prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. In November 2016, a federal district court in Pennsylvania reached a different conclusion in a similar case. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has argued that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a kind of sex discrimination. 11th Circuit: Title VII Does Not Bar Sexual Orientation Discrimination (Religion Clause)

Appearing on this evening’s Hardball, David Johnston, who received part of Donald Trump’s leaked 2005 tax return, said “I suspect” that Trump leaked “pornographic” photos of Melania to the New York Post. DAVID JOHNSTON: At first I thought Donald might have leaked it [the tax return], but his reaction in turning what could have been for him a terrific story about himself, he’s managed to squander by his reaction to this, so clearly he didn’t leak. When Donald leaks things, he doesn’t complain about them. He didn’t complain about the pictures of his wife, the pornographic pictures that were published...

Nineveh Plein is the area in North Iraq where more than 120.000 Christians had to escape in face of ISIS offensive in August 2014. They went to Erbil, capital of Kurdistan Region of Iraq and they have been living now in refugee camps for more than two years. Christianity has been present in the Nineveh Plain – where Mosul, Qaraqosh and Bashiqa are located – since the first century. Now, the return of Christian communities to their home in the Nineveh Plain is a concrete problem. “If we don’t go back home, from where Daesh banished us, Christianity in Iraq...
